Hi Paul, great video thank you for sharing. And a really beautiful spot, love the bird sounds! One question, will you lay some branches outside the moss again to keep it from peeling off in a strong wind or will the surrounding forest keep most strong winds away?
@paulsmithprimitivebushcraft
@paulsmithprimitivebushcraft 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Alan! Thanks for watching I really appreciate it! The bird song is one of my favorite things! To answer your question the moss will be the outer layer there shouldn't be a need for more branches, the area I'm in is quite sheltered bit the moss is also quite heavy it takes up some soil with it and that weighs everything down, I've used moss a few times and it all grows together and becomes a sort of living structure which adds to the rigidity. Thanks again and all the best. 😁

That sure is a lot of moss you have to collect to cover it. Are you going to use a wood stove to heat it in the winter?
@paulsmithprimitivebushcraft

Paul, my man, PLEASE will you NOT keep waving the camera around. It creates a fast and disorientating blur for your viewers. Its like you think waving the camera around is the same as gesturing with your arm, but it is not the same and you need to stop doing that. Most of your clips are extremely weak on construction detail. I strongly recommend you consult a professional camera person and learn some do's and don'ts. Its obvious you're a skilled and experienced bushcrafter and I would really like to see your stuff once you have control of your camera and viewer awareness - which you entirely lack. Your deserved success speaks to your knowledge and skill in bush craft, not your understanding of the camera.

Hey Jack! Thank you for your honest and constructive feedback, having watched it back I totally agree with you, and I'll see what I can do to improve it from here on out, again thank you for being honest and pointing it out without being insensitive, that's really appreciated, and only through acknowledgement of weaknesses can things be strengthened 🙂 Cheers dude 🙂
