That build was very impressive. Kudos to you as well Zoe! The last couple of videos that I've seen you in were fascinating. More specifically your bounce back from having a baby what, 3 months ago, to looking fabulous in this video is remarkable. My confession is the weakness I have for braids and you killed that! Very well produced video. The quality of this channel is getting very good. I know construction safety regs are different country to country but I amazed at the lack of safety gear and procedure these guys are employing, especially at height ! The roof design doesn't look to have much margin, hope it holds together in the next storm ! 😆

I'm pretty sure those guys standing on & outside the safety rails on that scissor lift is against safety everywhere in the USA.
@robnamowicz8073 Жыл бұрын
@@tl1024 Always remember what our southern brothers sometimes say, rightly so, "We don't care how you do it up north." Let me add, 'up north' there is so much money in government and regulatory bureaucrats the productive class struggles to get anything done. The more money government controls, the less there is for the productive class. LBJ's Great Society is an anchor on freedom we may never shake off. There was never an exit strategy for the 'war on poverty.' And government makes more poverty than freedom, it is all government produces.

I am making a pole barn this summer too. One side of the barn overhang to park and use my mill. the otherside the overhang will be walled in and will be my woodworking shop. middle of the barn has a loft so the downstairs will be tool storage and just a place to work on the tractor or store lumber.. the upstairs will just be a big fun area with a deck on the back side to hang out or hunt deer from the next winter lol
@craig-michaelkierce1366 Жыл бұрын
Looks great, nice build. Setting timber in the ground and surrounding it in concrete is certainly a quick way to do things. Some might prefer placing the poles on top of concrete piers, with the wood above ground, like R &R Builders in Illinois. The dude has great step by step videos. Cheers...

The erection was well executed ... however ... the lack of safety harnesses and seeing workers stand on the outside of the scissor lift railings was needlessly unsafe. Just a thought ... instead of only plate washers on the outside of the top of the main poles ( which will after time sink into the poles making them loose) perhaps steel plates would eliminate a necessary re- torquing of those bolts at a later date? Your videos and explanations are very well done. I wish all at Triple L the very best!

@@yeahright302 Have you ever seen the results of a fall from that height? I have and it isn't pretty. A co worker of mine broke both arms. The company didn't want a lost time accident so he was picked up at his home and brought to work. Then someone had to feed him, hold his D when he had to p,and wipe him if he needed to do the other. It is no joke and I don't want you or anyone else to have to deal with that.
