Building a Poltergeist Movie Miniature Diorama! ROBBIES Room!

This is the first video of a 4 part OCT-POLTER Miniature series. We will start with Robbies side of the room and then move over to Carolann's side next week. This is also part of the 15 room dollhouse renovation I have been working on over the last year and will continue into 2024.

I'm already loving this! It's so clever to make this a separate room box you can add and remove from the dollhouse. It also makes it easier to work on the room (and film).

Yes I just couldn’t tear apart the pink room and the kids bedroom needs to be much more shallow anyway so it works out. For sure it is way easier to work on. The what we do in the shadows dining room was really difficult cause it was all the down on the floor!

They’re (almost) HERE!!!!!! Run to the light, Carolann!! I love how quotable this movie is. Every time I prep my house for a party, I say to my husband “this house is clean” lol. Can’t wait to see it all come together. I also have a clown fear, but I’ll be there for the whole build! ❤️

Really love how this is coming along. The patterns on the bed are great. They not only are similar to the movie but stand out in a way you really do think someone slipped out of bed.

Never saw the movie! To big of a chicken. LOL Love this room build. I am a big Star Wars fan so you had me at the bedding! The pink room reminds me of the Brady Bunch girls room. Can't wait to see the finished room. Thanks for sharing.

This movie was a chldhood favorite..for some reason it never scared me...demon movies are the ones that freak me out like the Exorcist....ugh! I am a huge Star Wars fan though and so I agree adding the bedding was so fun and I have some great toys you are going to love coming up!

I think, it was a great idea to make the room box too. I find it hard to change things when they were well done. The Star Wars fabric is perfect. I don’t like clowns that much after my Parents taking me to the Shriner circuses every year as a kid. I don’t find them that funny. However, I am looking forward to seeing your future episodes. Those are a lot more entertaining! 😊

Thank you! Yes I love the original room too much to change it for now. The room box in a room works for this application and it will be easier for me to work on. I don’t have a clown phobia but I think you’re right, I haven’t ever found them funny but I do find them interesting like the psychology behind people that become clowns and how they choose their characters. So glad you are looking forward to more…sometimes I think the first episodes in a series like this can be a little snoozy cause there isn’t much excitement happening.

They aren’t snoozy for me, because I enjoy learning the steps to make a miniature room successful. It’s all so new to me, I find it very fascinating. I am still in awe how you can take basic materials and turn them into something amazing! Random. Are you going to hand out miniatures to Trick or Treater’s, if so I am going to put on a costume! LOL

I love how it’s turning out,and not only do I not have a clown phobia,but I thought the clown doll scene was one of the most hilarious things that I had ever seen,me and my brother were crying,we were laughing so hard!!!

Yes, I don't have clown phobias either, but I knew this lady who was a real clown and I was really fascinated about the psychology behind being a clown and how they choose the type of clown they want to be and how they choose their look...very interesting. When it comes to phobia...snakes, closed in spaces , and the dark, are ones that freak me out!

My only phobia are centipedes,because one fell from the ceiling and landed behind my ear,like how someone tucks a pencil behind their ear,one of those leggy household centipedes,oh it was horrible!! It was huge,and kinda stuck there for a few seconds,writhing around,and I had to squish it across the side of my face,I could see it’s legs still wiggling,postmortem,in my peripheral vision! When I was a child,I had peumonophobia,which is a ‘fear’ of buttons!!! For me,not a fear,but a huge discomfort touching buttons or having to wear shirts with buttons. Now my family knows why I was such a cranky kid on Easter🤣 That phobia is long gone,in fact I found 3 nice buttons,circa 1800,in London!

This is already so much fun! That Star Wars bedding is absolutely perfect! The very first guy that I actually kissed had Star Wars wallpaper in his bedroom. I never actually saw it because I was in seventh grade, but he told me about it. He was very proud😂 Also the floor looks gorgeous! And I will keep watching despite the last episode arrival of the clown 😂 Also I seriously love the pink toile wallpaper in the beginning😍

OMG what a cute story about your first kiss! I bet he never thought that detail would stick with you for the rest of your life, how cute! I was happy that the flooring came out ok cause cutting it at that angle for sure presents challenges around the edging and corners! lol I don't have a fear of clowns but I have serious snake fears and I am also afraid of the dark! I have to sleep with a little light. lol That pink room is so darn pretty I just couldn't destroy it. Maybe one day I'll figure out a way to incorporate it into one of my favorite movies or tv shows!

That shelving/built-in is so cool...I was thinking that in could easily use this same look in a library, or as store shelving or even a really cool walk in closet for those who love collecting miniature clothing.

lol...yes no dangerous tiny clowns in the future! I've wanted to create this room for a long time. Years ago I was at an exhibit where they had created the room in real life and that was the moment I was like....I have to build this in miniature! Finally, here we are and just in time for spooky season!

The only thing wrong with this video is it is too short . I started a Poltergeist diorama for the spindly white monster in the doorway but got sidetracked by a Texas Chainsaw dio , can't wait to see the rest of these Poltergeist videos . Oh i love Star Wars too and didn't remember that about the movie. Great idea anout the room within a riom. Allies you to put windows and doors where needed also. How do you cut your foam so perfectly? Do yiu have a hot wire tool?

yea I love all that Star Wars stuff in the room and it kinda moves around between scenes to add that element of the kids playing with their toys, so cute. Yes I just couldn't tear the room apart right now, it feels like it could be something grand eventually and yes it gives me the ability to put windows and doors where they should go. I did use a hot wire foam cutter and a metal ruler (why didn't I show that!?) to get the perfect slices!

Yes, I always had my own room, as I am the oldest child. But my mom thought that maybe my younger sisters might want to also have their own space and so she had me share a room with one of my younger sister for a time while the other sister had her own room. But I was so miserable because I'm a person who needs order and so I couldn't relax and I fought with my sister all the time because her stuff was everywhere....my mom finally had enough and let me move back...and restore the order of things! lol

I know I'm about to date myself right now but when I was about five or six years old (Heather O'Rourke and I are the exact same age) my older brother and older cousin both took me to see this movie at the drive-in theatre. If you think it's scary watching this on TV, imagine at night, its chilly(mid october)and you're a little girl looking up at all this horror on a huge billboard-like screen. And the icing on the cake was that my older brother ordered us hamburger,fries,and sodas(back then they would clip your tray of food to the side of your window)right at the exact time the worms were coming out of the piece of meat sliding across the kitchen counter. I could barely eat my food I was so creeped out(notice I said barely). It was gross and hilarious all at the same time. Ahhh, such great memories!😊

I stumbled upon a small channel doing something different. He's got a vampire hunters case that i think he sells. But he's fixing up a dollhouse to be a brothel and sex shop. Should be a hoot. He's got keyss than 600 subs. I think it's crafts by Xander, or Xander crafts. Something like that
