Making a Miniature Evil Dead Cabin to Film Cinematically

In this video I make my interpretation of the cabin from Evil Dead for Halloween! After making the structure with foam board I used a ton of balsa wood strips to make it. When I was done I made a small forest scene to film it in!

Nice job! For reference, we did use old barn boards to look like logs for the exterior with the spaces between filled with cement mortar on lathe to fill in. Cool project. I just thought the ground could be flatter since this is close to a house, and the house was used at some point in the past. The ground looks more uneven, like what you see in a crop field. Also, you could have added some vegetation and rocks, maybe.

Amazing reconstruction. Remember seeing the movie back in 1983 on VHS from a local dealer and subsequently it was banned in the UK and classed as a "video nasty" as they were called. Impressive special effects and makeup for its day without the need to rely on CGI. Sam Raimi's masterpiece no question.
