Geweldige videos die ik op de voet volg. Ik heb een 78er, en helaas zijn de chrome raamlijsten niet meer verkrijgbaar. De expansietank is weer nieuw verkrijgbaar en ik adviseer deze ook te vervangen.. De oude buitenspiegel en tankdop zijn nog nieuw te vinden, maar niet als porsche onderdeel noch op de europese vw golf. Ga zo door!

Dank je wel! Ik heb de expansievat al liggen, dus die gaat op termijn ook in. Verchromen van de sierlijstjes is best goed te doen en qua pasvorm zijn ze gelijk. ik zag op Rennlist iemand die dat heeft gedaan, zag er prima uit.

Nice work! Couple of thoughts - did you lube the window mechanisms before installing? Also, the lock cylinders had a gasket that almost always is crumbled and is NLA from Porsche. I substituted by finding an appropriate size o-ring

Thanks Jeff, the window mechanism was lubed on all joints and I also applied some PTFE in the guide rails. Good advice on the O-ring! Since they became NLA I have just omited them as my cars do not sleep outside. I don't think a lot of water find their way past the cylinder anyway as my turbo don't have them either and I have never had water inside the door.

The 944 has central locking on them, the 924 never had central locking, so the barrels are different

Wel yes and no, the 968 also has central locking but shares the barrels with the 924. I Don’t know how long they made the ones with “teeth” but I have never come across these specific barrels.
