I love the paint job.... I know why he did it matte to match with the carbon.. he didn't even want to leave the exposed carbon in the beginning but we convinced him. Then he picked thr dark grey literally to keep it uniform but since it was off a tiny shade everyone hated it!? I love it! It looks sick. Mickey u da man

Regarding the a/c setup. What you should do is take it back to the body shop and repaint it any gloss colour, then it’ll be “cool” no matter how hot it is outside😎

I think the car looks like it was rattle canned really well. I’m not a fan of the paint color or the way the carbon clashes with it….. BUT it’s your car and I enjoy watching you build it. You should t have to apologize to anyone for building your car the way you want it. Excited to see this thing get finished!

A way around the intake manifold issue you are having is to get individual throttle bodies since they don't use the traditional intake set up. Toda makes one and so does Kinsler for the K20.

Maybe you can usa centrefeed intake manifold, so you can point the throttle body downwards and route the intake piping underneath to the front bumper.

I LOVE the flat matt black with the matt carbon fiber!! And that wing on the trunk.. nice!! Just a shame the canards on the bumper isn't matt fiber also just to offset the bumper a bit. I ain't a fan of Civics.. but this one is gonna be fire 🔥 and one of a kind no doubt!

You know what could be an interesting car to try to "street up"? A mid-90's BMW 850i, otherwise known as the E31. It's got a big V12 which I suspect could be turbocharged to produce more power and torque, plus it has amazing sound deadening, so it would be fairly easy to put a good sound system in it. Replace the stock suspension and brakes with something a bit more taut and find one of the, like, three companies that make a widebody kit for it and get one of those. Then wrap it with some color shift or hyper metallic wrap and enjoy a low, long hyper-cruiser. The E31 wasn't designed to be a super sporty car, but to handle extreme long distance highway bombing, and the stock engine's willingness to dig deep into the 150's whenever asked just proves it. I think it's a perfect car for the midwest of the US, where you can go hundreds of miles without ever seeing another car on the interstate highways. Get a 6 speed in there and boost the engine to around 500HP and just watch it target 200MPH.

Almost every car you guys build is exactly how I would have done it. I might have had red accents, red valve cover, areas of body kit, red seats or black w/red harnesses. But a K swap rwd hatchback Civic is my dream car. You could offer me keys to that or a C8 Corvette and I would pick the Civic without a thought. This is the second time I watched this build.

A friend of mine has an ek civic with a k24 turbo swap, he swapped out his power steering from a Mercedes I believe and lost the standard ac compressor (edit. The Mercedes power steering pump is electronic and the vintage air ac goes into where the power steering pump was ) but swapped out to a kit from vintage air ? It relocated the compressor and was done a year or so after the k swap, I wish I knew more but with some Googling you should be able to find the kit

You might want to look at the KMiata intake manifold and their AC kit. They have K swapped miatas with fully functioning AC and it might be an easier starting point than to do it all custom.

KMiata Intake manifold would solve your issue. I run one on my K24 turbo Miata (Napp Motorsports YT Channel). It’s designed for RWD k swaps and lifts the TB up enough to use stock accessory components.
