No voice, means no views, so I did not finish watching this video and after 3 no voice videos, I just unsubscribe and I’m sure there are many people that feel the same!! I guess this is a financial discussion, but it’s bad business!!

It’s actually the opposite of a financial decision. I am putting these videos out without any sponsors. I put them out because of the people who just enjoy to watch the building process. I happen to be one of those people.... and I posted the video with the voiceover last week. So that video is always there for you to watch!

I prefer videos with explanation too, but I am watching to learn. If somebody wants to chill with Tamar while she makes her project, that's cool too. That person is a member of a different audience. What that other grumpy viewer who stomped off to unsubscribe missed was that this video _didn't_ _take_ _anything_ _away_ _from_ _them._ That's why I'm commenting here along with kinder, civil folk.

My Friend John R don't be ungrateful with youtubers. These beautiful and wonderful people post, even with or without financial activities, their arts. It is up to us to observe their arts and take advantage of them to create ours. If you have mastered the carpentry’s art, the only detail in the construction of this cabinet was the corners of the cabinet (explained in the previous videos she posted here). There are no spells but arrangements and plans. A big hug

I’m not going to stop posting voiceovers. Don’t worry. There are people who like to listen to sounds of the tools and background. I happen to be one of those people. Just like they would have an option to mute. You also have an option not to click on a thumbnail that says “no talking”. I’m just offering options for different people who like to enjoy their content in different ways. That’s all. Ha.

Tamar, I am a 5 years retired tool and die maker, 38+ years in the trade. Today, low & slow bbq, & grilling, “fine dining”, as some might say, and learning new woodworking skills is how I maintain & keep my sanity healthy! (A good IPA beer also helps)! I would “die & go to heaven” if I could be an apprentice in your shop! Talkies vs non-Talkies, doesn’t matter, watching what your fingers are doing is where I learn, I still have all 9.995 of my fingers!!🤭 Thank You for putting these videos up!

Nobody starts with the skills. Shoot, woodworking is a hobby of mine and I still don't have most of the skills. 🤣 If you come up with another project you want to do, borrow some more tools. Maybe you'll decide to get a few of your own. It doesn't take a shop full of Festool to make a step-stool for your son, or a workbench to tinker on. You gotta start someplace. Join us!

This is really cool. I sometimes “zone-out” on Friday evenings after a busy week and just enjoy watching - no commentary needed. Well done! IMHO this video is at the quality of some of the experts who do restoration work on old tools (as an example). They dont talk, but may add some written comments to share their thought process. They have a lot of views.

I see your system of finding a record is the same as mine ... serial search , as old as vinyl itself no clicky button instant gratification.Even your record collection resembles my own but then again I'm twice as old as you. Love the cabinet, absolute perfection. Ignore the "no talky" comments most guys wish their wives would shut up for a moment now they suddenly feel lost. The pictures speak for themselves.

Beautiful work and I love the veneered doors. About 35 years ago I had to build four very large mahogany curved veneered doors so I used a vacuum bag and never went back to clamps for large veneer jobs. That was also about the last time I played my Layla album on a record player. Didn’t really miss the sound as a picture is worth a thousand words.

It's great you're offering both video formats for your subscribers. I hope other viewers see that you're releasing both formats and stop trashing one or the other.

I’m just experimenting with the idea of it now. Some people don’t seem to get it. Some are really appreciating it. So who knows what I’ll do... ha

@@michaelmiller5177 there is Both a disclaimer and a link! During the video. There are words that talk about the other video. In the description as well. There is also the link to the other video I’m the “I” cards on the upper right hand corner. It’s all there!

I dunno. The whole chimpmonk sounds, no talk, build videos are so quintessentially youtube, it's almost comical (it's certainly funny when watching Matthias's mice). For my part, I subscribe to your videos for the thought process, so this version has far less appeal to me than the full voiceover, but I do get that many youtube viewers are here for ASMR, and this is probably just what they want. Perhaps it would make more sense to grow into two channels, but whatever you do, don't stop the voiceover videos. You and Next Level Carpentry some of the best fonts of knowledge that can be translated into real-world woodworking applications. Seriously, Norm would be proud of such work. Oh, and again, this piece may be the nicest piece of furniture I've seen built on youtube to date. It is truly outstanding!

I definitely won’t stop the voiceovers because I know how much people like them. But they make the videos longer. So I put out these short form no talking versions and if someone wants to learn more. The longer voiceover video is there!
