Building a Road with a Backhoe in the Mountains

Building a road in the Appalachian mountains with Caterpillar 420D backhoe with four in one bucket. This road was built on my property and was used by the logging company who recently logged the land.

REV that backhoe up, give it some RPM's so it can have the power to work! You will learn how to operate it but if you have a long road to build make a video in five years and you might be there. LOL! Just kidding but it is going to take quite a while with a backhoe. Doesn't appear to be the right machine for that job. I think you need a Caterpillar or some other track machine with an adjustable blade.

or use the one with blades ( one that can claw,cut into smaller logs), that one does this job pretty fast lol

Why are you running that thing at idle... you have more control over hydraulics if you learn to run them at operating speed..
