Hi Luke, This is a superb tutorial. Structured, planned, logical sequence of steps. Thought through. Well paced, so that even novices can follow it - so many tutorials out there are WAY too fast to be useful. Narrative about what you're doing, and WHY - also missing at least in parts on other tutorials. And you're showing up close what's being done, and demonstrating the effect it has on the sound at each step. Again, so many tutorials miss this vital point of feedback for the novice. Bonus: You're showing us both how to design the sound, and then how to use it as part of a performance, as a tweek. Icing on the cake ! Really well thought out, this is gold standard content in terms of how a synth tutorial should be done. Perfection ! Thank you buddy ! 🙂🙂

Awww, thanks Jonr. I don’t aim to make the greatest videos…I just try to share things I enjoy doing, but I try to make them clear. The results vary. ;) have fun and see you around!

You can make it sound even more Roland by adjusting the envelope curve on the second page :-)

Tuning and showing off a synth you just purchased along with an oscillator, filter, and ADSR, Wow so exciting!

Actually, it was explaining how to reproduce a classic sound on any two oscillator synthesizer at the request of some comments. My goal has never been to provide any form of exciting entertainment. Sorry to disappoint you! What sort of music do you make? I’d love to hear some!

Are you having a bad day Michael? Your comments aren't usually so grumpy. :)

helpful, but would love if you could say what button you are pressing when it is offscreen.

I did… :) “osc1, osc2, filter env, amp env”…etc. they are literally the buttons. :)

So you need to different envelopes but then it works. Thanks.
@synthseeker8 ай бұрын
It can sound pretty good with a single envelope controlling both the amp and filter cutoff, give it a try!
