That’s a good roster I’ll say, lots of mainstay & fan favorites though I feel it doesn’t have much in the way of weird picks. I think like Squirell Girl for Marvel & Phœnix Wright for Capcom would be really fun to have on that roster.

I don't have a much of a build a roster pick but a top 20 characters who I would like to see in MVC 5 and these are relatively new characters that has not been in MVC before (not including MUGEN). Some of them already being mentioned in this video but there are others that should get a chance such as:- (Note the last character is often a weird pick that most MVC games have like Shuma-Gorath or MODOK) For CAPCOM side: 1. As for Capcom they could stick with characters they've used mostly in recent years (2012-2024). And use the most updated designs.

I love your list. I would just remove Doctor Strange, Doctor Doom, Star-lord, Juggernaut and Kamala(doesn't mean i dislike these characters). I personally want to see some way more different characters. I would instead choose Ancient One, Daredevil, Groot, Lady Sif, and an Eternal Druig or Thena.

personally don't think Black widdow is a good returning pick, yeah she is avengers but she will get compared to the resident evil human characters and those are just more interesting which i would say Magik would be a cooler pick or if you wanted another veteran it would be kind of memey to put in phoenix or why not just pick sentinel as he is kind of a stable. Morph might be better as a shapeshifter then loki is as they are actively using the abilities another person has rather than just smoke and mirrors. I would like to see She-Hulk for that one MVC4 joke "if there is an MVC4, I will beat you there too wade". I would like to see the guardians go full original again and switch out rocket for Mantis which would be pretty fun moveset wise with her sleep abilities for the Capcom side I feel like 4 RE characters a bit much and I'd be fine for Nemesis to sit out one in favour of just Lady D. Jedah was a cool addition in infinite but just kind of wasted. I am a bit surprised with no Phoenix wright who while even though he was a low tier, casuals loved him and that series in itself has made break throughs so they could get another rep if it wanted to

Demitri would have also been great just for his potential interactions with Dante referencing their duo in Project x Zone. Starforce would have been cool as he's the only main Megamen to not have been playable in a fighting game. It's so refreshing to see Pyron in a hypothetical roster. Anyway, the base roster is really diverse, that's cool.

Decent list but not too many new characters. My list would be 30 marvel/30 capcom and 6 dlc each. Marvel: cyclops, wolverine, Deadpool, gambit, kitty pryde, nightcrawler, magneto, sentinel, storm for X-men characters. Dardedevil, punisher, silver surfer, Loki, Thor, spider man, mile morales, star lord , venom, doc ock, iron man, cap, blade, mephisto, thanos, doom, dormammu, hulk, scarlet witch h,, black panther.. DLC: cable, black bolt, human torch, green goblin,moon night , adam warlock. Ones that I think can get in are Kang, kraven, doctor strange, magik, captain marvel, antman. I think the X-men being the most characters is only fair since it started with X-men and they also omitted them in infinite because fox wasn’t acquired by Disney yet. I think the base character will be Wolverine, cap, cyclops, Thor, Ironman, hulk, spider man, dr doom
