In the United States our system is built to exploit the students. Unless your parents can pay or you can throw a football you are absolutely on the hook for an overpriced education that doesn't actually give you any of the skills or advantages advertised.
I went to university in the US. One of the best exploits I used was I "lost" my student ID just before my last semester went to get a new one when a bunch of new students were getting theirs. Never was asked about when I was graduating, got a student ID for the next 4 years even though I graduated. 4 years of free Microsoft office use Multiple student discounts around my the city 4 years of free museum entrances Free soft drinks at many local restaurants 4 years of free public transport in my city 4 years of a discounted cellular plan 10% off samsung products that would stack with current sales, I got my laptop at a 20% off sale than stacked my 10% off for a total of 30% off lol A discount on my car It was like a real life cheat code.

Never underestimate the power of the Summer semester. My school gave me several 4 year scholarships that amounted to a full ride; however, as they had no limit on the total number of classes I could take in those 4 years and the summer classes (which we were discouraged from taking) were covered as well. I managed to get two bachelor's degrees and a minor, none of which had overlapping course requirements, in those 4 years, despite maintaining the recommended average course load of 4 to 5 classes a week. The trick, I treated the Summer semester as a regular semester because I knew full well that most professors who cover the Summer semester don't want to be there and expect everyone there to have failed the course in a previous semester, so they tend to skip a lot of the fluff and grade easier

At my university in Australia, the university's security had a roster of which of the permit only car parks they would be patrolling for the week to issue parking violations for any car that didn't display a permit. There were more car parks than what they could check in a day, so hence the roster. The patrol roster was posted on a notice board in the security office. The funny thing was that the notice board itself was on a wall facing a window that had no blinds on it. So anyone walking past the window could see the schedule and know which car parks to avoid and get free parking.

Back in highschool when I was 18 I could get away with a lot just because of my age, which I more than used to my advantage. Due to this I was allowed to sign myself out of school and leave whenever. Anytime I would get written up and got after school detention or lunch detention ect... ( they stopped doing out of school suspension cause of me) I wouldn't have to show up simply because they weren't allowed to keep me in the building or force me to show up. And while yes they could give you more detentions for not showing up they'd all get removed anyways at the end of each quarter. In the end I caused a lot of hell and chaos making school a lot more fun... for me anyways
@greywolf75772 жыл бұрын
I'm surprised they didn't try to deny you graduation or something like that. Surely you weren't the first 18 year old to get detention. They have to have some sort of plan for this. That's one way I could see them solving what should have been an obvious problem in their detention policy.

Leave it to Spiff to break a game's economy as soon as he gets his hands on it 🤣

"AND KEVIN! ... He uh...plays video games" I'm interested to see how Spiff deals with Kevin's work as I saw that video and...yeah. Edit: Looks like I need to wait for the next one to see Kevin's original campus. Oh well.

It'll certainly be quite the treat, considering how they broke the game in entirely different ways!

Been enrolled as an IT student in a renowned German university for almost a year now. I have never even seen the building from the outside. Tuition is a bit but the money I save from discounts, from not having to get my own insurances and being able to keep on being covered by family insurances, from the ticket for public transportation and from “child money” my parents keep on getting (which alone is more than the tuition) is definitely worth it.

So many jump scares in this video. That ham planet in the purple dress is almost too much for my poor heart to take.

An accidental tactical genius, as usual.

Poor Anna having to play with you lot. I mean she's with Kevin so she can probably handle a fair bit of insanity but I feel like she's definitely the least malevolent of the bunch. I would say we need you guys to play her in chess but knowing spiff he'd have some kind of exploit involving signalling with a tube of lipstick or something.

In terms of exploiting college, mine was a rather low-key one: School offered a ~3k/semester scholarship for it's inaugural class. My state had a seperate 3k/semester scholarship based on standardized test results. Tuituion was only in the realm of 3.5k/semester. Between the two, I wasn't paying to go to college-I was being paid to go.

How my university exploited me: Last semester just before the summer this year, I had a professor who was responsible for teaching research methods to our class of business students, however about 1/3 of our classes he canceled for various reasons and the other 2/3 he just told us stories about when he lived in Africa. To keep it short he didn't teach us anything and he obviously didn't know the subject, one example is during our final project a lot of students had questions regarding the instructions he had given us a week prior to which he responded with "Oh that, you dont need to worry about that its just a suggestion from the other professor you can do whatever you want there is no guidelines". But it gets better because this professor wasn't only wasting the other students and my own time and money, he had also bamboozled my university. After such a disappointing semester with this professor, our student rep and myself decide to make a formal complaint about this professor, and to our surprise and the Deans, our professor wasn't actually a professor but a con man who had been pretending to be a professor for the last 3 years. He had snuck through the cracks due to the covid-19 pandemic and been teaching bullshit for 3 years while sitting on his ass making tons of money. Going back in September for my third year hopefully i wont get scammed.
