I'm in love with this form of woodworking.

Beautiful work. Your mortises and tenons show wonderfully clean work, and the use of a router plane and haunched tenons are a nice touch.

Great video, I really enjoyed it. Quick question if you have time. Before assembly you applied a finish, but had the joints taped. Why? Do you think the finish will lower the glue strength? I assume...

Excelente video y trabajo. ¿Qué madera se utilizó? Otra pregunta /¿el cepillo es un low angle de Veritas N⁰7?

Really nice project. Why do you cut mortices by hand when you have a Jet morticer?

What is the name of the tool you use at the three minute mark?

Hi. I know this is a little late, but it’s called a router plane. Veritas make them, as do Lie-Nielsen. You may be able to find an older Stanley no.71, but in some cases a nice one can be more than new one from the newer companies (Veritas and Lie-Nielsen). There are however, many copies out there (rebadged Chinese copies) and you could even make one yourself. Good luck and I hope this helps.

@@chm1701 Many thanks! I will keep an eye out for a Stanley 71.
