Recently found your channel, some very interesting stuff your doing generally across the videos. Im coming back to the hobby so I have been looking at what's happening after my few years away and found your channel. I particularly like your detailing older or cheaper models, thats something i enjoyed doing. Keep up the good work, its inspiring for those who may never have done this before.

Great video. I have that platform kit to put together, so it was helpful to see how you tackled it.

This is coming along really well. Just a thought, how about fitting some industrial fencing about 2.5 cm off the new industrial units to create a no man's land of long grass, buddleia and fox gloves, a few pallets, metal barrels and a car bonnet that may have found their way over the fence.

Nice little warehouse and loading dock. As for my project, I'm working on a N Scale 2'x4' round and round layout to take to train shows. It's a simple layout with only three points a loading dock and coal mine. Set in Pennsylvania during the early 1970's. I've found that a simple layout is better for a show because I spend most of my time visiting with guests.

Hi Trist, You inspired me to build a similar size exhibition layout and do a 'how to' series on mine. Mine is also 1200mm long but mine is a little deeper 460mm. Having fun. Lets encourage more guys to do this. A micro layout is doable on a budget and a project that can be finished to a very high standard of detail in a reasonable time. We can add multiple scenes that tell a story. Yes trees are important. My new layout will have several, despite cost and too much track on my previous shelf layouts precluded. Keep up the good work. Regards Bernie in NZ

Hi Tris, thanks for the video, you sound like you’re back to your healthy self. I’m about to see if my old track and locomotives are still usable after 30+ years in storage before I start track planning in the loft layout in earnest. However, you’ve inspired me to do a similar size shunting layout so I can practice / build up my skills before attempting the main loft layout.

Looking great, some platforms did not have sheds, etc, next to them, so it's personal taste. You could have a faded grounded van wagon that has been used as a store if you wanted. I'm looking forward to the next video.

Good job trist the only extra thing is maby a small hand crane on the loading dock use to see them on small platforms like that.

I think with the sleeper platform, I would have rusted and stained the areas where the metal fittings have been removed to give it a little more realism, these things got pretty grotty during their time in use

Thanks for the update Trist! I'm working on an N Gauge Roundhouse layout ATM. 4x2 baseboard. I like the back scene warehouse! Think I might employ the same idea, using Arch retaining walls! Looking forward to the next episode!

I been steadily working on my layout as I now found a Canada based supplier for rail way tracks. Still toying around with track plans idea's for the south side o my layout though and can not seem to come to something I like.

Looking great, I get so much from your videos. Like your painting techniques, was that acrylics paint you were using with minimal on the brush ?
