+1 on the sound design. Thank you for reducing the machines and saw volumes. I wish more folks would do that.

I bought my reed and am waiting for the warmer weather to make a 40 inch paper mache on laminated cardboard, 16 harness table loom, and intend to add a second set of pullies to attach below so it'll be a countermarch style table loom. Plan on making a 36 inch prototype and play with both regular paper mached cardboard and papercrete. Plan eventually to do a papermache/crete on playwood for a floor loom but arthritis limits my interest in treadles.

Great work

This is really awesome! I appreciate how much work went into this. Is it possible for me to get the specs for this design? I’m willing to pay for it

Very short, and no narrator. Sort of confusing. I liked the ganged up sides to get matching holes. I dont think there is enough vertical offset. Is there a thread insert holding the dowel from spinning? Also likely would be stronger with notched joinery in the frame. Is it a takedown, like designed to come apart for transport? For the material cost and the labor, i would have just made a simple ladder back style i think, no adjustments, more vertical offset

I love the name of your channel. The fact that you named it I make xyz (as in the xyz plains) was a great idea. Thank you for making this video I've been think about making a look and have been looking for ideas

Thanks for your comment and I have not yet thought about the xyz-plane as another meaning of the channel name. I like it!

Question is did the recipient of the loom think it worked well?
@imakexyz49684 жыл бұрын
Brittany Winn unfortunately is was not used so much till now. The loom has some issues. Mainly the way I made the clamps. It is very hard to get tension onto the wires. The actual weaving works.

This is a great demo! What kind of table saw are you using? I'd like to get one like that.

Hi there thanks for you're question. I was using a band saw and a cheap manual chop saw (not sure if this is the correct name).

Is there any measurements?
@imakexyz49685 жыл бұрын
The loom is approximately 29 (~11 inches) by 40cm (15inches) big. I don't have any plans as I directly build it in the workshop.
