I've tried making the rug and ripped it out at least 3 times. I just cannot get what to do when I get to each end of a row. It never comes out right. Is there a sort of "rule of thumb" that I can keep in my head while doing it? I'm about to give up!

Fantastic! I have braided rag rugs, but they are labor intensive. I’ve wanted to have a frame to do this weaving , but found the cost of buying one was more than I could justify spending. After watching your video this AM (5:30 AM), I hopped in the car and drove to Home Depot where I found everything I needed and they even cut the wood to size for me. Can’t wait to put my frame together after my salsa verde finishing cooking! The tutorials for weaving the actual rugs are terrific; wonderfully paced with excellent demos and tips and tricks to make one successful! I can’t wait to raid my stash of already ripped and balled fabric (old sheets) and get going on this project. Great job!!

I am hooked! I quite accidently stumbled onto your video tutorial and then showed hubby that he can make a loom for me. He did and I cannot stop looming. I've made 3 pot mats, he adopted another size to make table mats, made a loom for bathroom rugs and the bigger loom for floor rugs... I just can't stop. My family are tickled pink that I've fallen in love with looming... I've always been craftsy, but this is very relaxing, especially when you're in a rhythm... Thank you for sharing these videos... I live in the Des Moines area now, but grew up in Davenport, IA. Thanks so much for both tutorials. My grandmother, who lived in Allamakee County in N.E. Picked up supplies to make my loom today 😃 I purchased a Suspension rod for the rods. It’s 5mm diameter (which is a little bigger than the 3/16in but not by much) it came in a massive (3.6meter is that 12 foot?!) length but can be cut with bolt cutters (by the nice man who works there so you can fit it in your car, if your lucky😉) it’s galvanised and used in suspended ceilings. Cost me $3.99 at Bunnings. Just thought I’d share because it took me ages to figure out what kind of rod to look for lol.
