Jigsaws are their own kind of pain. Yours has a few quirks that aren't uncommon. I never use any of the lines on the foot to guide me and I always watch the blade. A handy thing to note about jigsaws is the point they rotate to make a curved cut is at the front of the blade. I like the design you've come up with. Looks good and it's coming together nicely.

Oh good, its not just me then, I've hated that tool since the day I bought it. I want to fast forward to the camping, fishing and beer part of the build. Guess I better not rush it.

Yeah, turns out I didn't need the clamps at all, the screws I used poke out the bottom of the track and hold it in place, but the holes tricked me on the underside of the floor when I was screwing the frame to it and I ended up putting a screw in the wrong hold.

Another option if you want straight lines is to plunge your circular saw in and then just use the recipro or jigsaw in the corners.

Ahh, thanks for the tip. I'll keep that one handy for the doors and windows. Jigsaws suck balls.

@AHobbyOrThree yeah I've tried many a time to get a nice finish with a jigsaw. Last thing I did plunge cut on was a nice timber bench top. Ended up buying a Kreg fence because I was crapping myself haha. In the end there was so much room for error with the kitchen sink it didn't matter 🤣🤣 I'm sure woodworkers love a jigsaw but they are evil for us back yarders 🤣🤣
