Building a squash tunnel from pvc pipe and wire mesh fencing

I don't think that's going to work as far as squash goes. I used three-quarter inch PVC pipe & chicken wire to make a very small temporary chicken tractor, the sun warped and twisted the PVC pipe, it had no strength at all! I even reinforced it with ridge poles and purlins. It became a warped and twisted mess! PS. I'm living in very Northern Minnesota close to the Canadian border so not very hot at all.

Good feedback! This is 2” welded wire fence so has a load of strength on its own compressor to chicken wire. What kind of pvc pipe did you use? Sounds like there are several types with different strengths. Fingers crossed!!! I didn’t want to use cattle panels since I already had the 2” welded wire. If it’s starts to go wonky I’ll reinforce it to get through the year and then rebuild it next year.
