I was going to build a stealthy van last year, but plans changed. After much consideration, I had decided to have it sign-written as a mobile dog wash! That way I could conceivably get away a couple of small, high windows, water/power inlets and even visible solar panels. I should probably have kept quiet as now, by the time I get to do the build, I'll get to my first parkup and roll up next to three dog washes! 😂

Shaun, absolutely brilliant! Each and every van build is so thorough and helpful. I have even used some of your recommendations, over here across the pond in the US, in My Home with connecting solar panels. I live in Southwest Florida and have continually been hit with hurricanes that have been both devastating and also life-threatening to so many. Before this last storm, I bought the EcoFlow generator coupled with the EcoFlow wave to heat pump: which, as you know both Air Conditioning & Heating. Solar panels albeit small, came with the HVAC unit and also can be used on the lithium battery. While you were installing the solar panels on your van, I took special note of the wiring. Especially the fact that in my bedroom where I keep the air conditioning, EcoFlow wave two, I can now with certainty wire my panel outside where I get both western and southern light and hook it up to the wave and lithium battery. I think I’m babbling on so I’ll leave it there, ha! And again congratulations on your new baby. Blessings to all four of you Doug

I wanted to stand up in my stealth van so I have Renault Trafic H2 L2. No windows in it just a plain white van. But the roof rack is brilliant to make it more like a work van. I have the new Fosibot F 3600 Pro, so I can use induction cooking, use my Starlink Mini and much more for days. Good looking job . I ve always fancied the idea of a stealth van . One thing that may be an issue is the paint possibly peeling off the galvanised roof rack. Ideally galvanised stuff likes to be aged before paint sticks well. You can artificially age it by using a product called "Morgans T " . Its a type of acid wash and helps the paint stick. Or theres probably a specialist primer you could use. May not be an issue , will just have to see how it lasts.

when drilling the hole in the roof for the solar panel wires apart from the conduit that you used I would have also gone the extra step and added a rubber grommet to prevent evn further chaffing of the wires, the rubber grommet would also aid and help with the weatherproof of the roof area where the wires ocme through the roof for the solar panels

If you get one of those revolving roof vents you sometimes see on the top of things like gas vans it should fit under or behind your roof rack boards and give you another ventilation for when you want to be so stealthy that you can't open the skylight or it would give the game away
