A demo of the bass or any audio to accompany the slideshow would have been nice!

I played a Hofner like Paul's years ago. How did it play? It was light, like bamboo and had a booming, mellow sound. I had to turn down the sound because of all the feedback. Somebody liked it and they bought it the next day. I finally understood how those Vox amplifiers really put out some powerful beats. It was really fun. McCartney was an all-around musician-director like his father.

Well done , the work by hand of your bass is better than the original, I would imagine your bass would have better sustain compared to the original as your body was cut out and thicker as was your top where as the originals tend to be compressed laminated veneers glued together. I worked for the Australian importer back in the 80s, I have 4 Hofners in my collection a 1963, 1970, 1990s blade and a reissue cavern bass 2017 and it was good to see you are a lefty as well, thanks for sharing.

WOW . I assume you’re going to present it to Paul. I’m sure the quality is actually better than a Hofner. I realise you most likely used the the pots, caps, and pups but still that was an awful lot of handcrafted work. Beautiful.

Great work! This white line on the headstock is a binding or painting? Looks like some kind of black and white veneers but i've never understood how this headstock is made at Höfner videos (they skip this exact part and show only the already assembled headstock with the black with white frame front part).
