The more you dissect from McCartney's solo tracks his vocal harmonies and innovative instrument arrangements, the more one is left in awe for his musical genius: 1. The commentary on how he used the moog on this track (yes! absolutely! also influential on Van Halen, if you think of the synthesizer use on the opening line for 'Jump' ...to name just one example!) 2. The simultaneous double-tracking of "who-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-woo-ooh" in BOTH minor and major keys...Unreal. Who else would have thought of doing something like that, at the time. Quite simply: No-one else. but McCartney! Could have pulled these off...It's unreal how massively talented this guy is.

Outstanding. Jet and Bluebird are both great songs.

Jet is such an amazing song. One of Paul's best hard rocking song. Phew, the vocals are complicated and I never knew about the major and minor layering trick. I'll never ever take this song for granted again

Brilliant work Galeazzo .. the drone on the Moog was probably a part for Linda who is under-rated in her contribution to Wings. Her vocals provide great colour to the Wings BVs.

Awesome! I am not looking forward to singing that E5!!! In the Wings version, who actually sang each of the vocal parts (Paul, Linda, Denny)? Is it possible that the minor/major thing is actually just someone not hitting that C# but really just falling a bit shy, landing on C? Either way, is it possible that it wasn't noticed or, if they did notice, they left it in because it sounded so interesting? Then again ;) the lyrics actually talk about "The Major"??!!

Love your channel. Thanks for all your work and your talents. Just want to point out that you forgot to isolate one of the parts in the verse. (“Sgt Major”)..the D to C# notes
@TheBeatlesVocalHarmony Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your appreciation. I confirm all the vocals are covered in the video. You're referring to the mid vocals in the 2nd verse which are identical to the ones in the last verse which I covered. Only the higher vocals change between the "Sgt Major" and "Thousand laces", this is why you find the "Sgt Major" higher vocals pointed out in the video.
@ClassicRockHarmonies Жыл бұрын
I’m not finding it. Lol. …the part that goes (“Sky……. - D, C#, D, B) I hear you singing it with the group harmonies, i just don’t see that part isolated anywhere in the video…. Could be me Again, thank you for all your videos, you’re an incredible musician and nobody pays attention to the nuances like you🙏🙏

Do you think the random 'minor and major' lines in the oooo-ooo part was a clever creation...or a wonderful accident? IMO, THIS is the magic of the old method of recording, when the band was all in one room, as were the vocalists singing together...these little 'creations' - I believe - could have been accidents of pitch that ended up sounding amazing...and they simply left it in to the final mix...
