This week we finished up the custom liquor cabinet we have been working on for months now, we also poured our favourite round table we have done yet!

Amazing cabinet! Fantastic ideas and smart guys. Thanks for sharing. Tell us more about your cooling table technics, temperature, power per square... Maybe it would be possible to run a temperature profile. Heating in the beginning to keep resign very liquid - bubbles should be generated in bigger bubbles and go up. Than controlling temperature and cooling down. If you can control a constant temperature over all area, the mechanical stress should be less. Greetings from the mountain area of Austria!

The cabinet looks great. Would love to see a start to finish of the build. Also, in addition to water cooling, do you utilize any vacuum or pressure chambers on your resin before/after the pour, to minimize bubbles? Do you use a blowtorch on surface bubbles or just machine the surface flat? Keep up the awesome work!

Nope we leave the epoxy and let it settle itself. Then just machine it.

Yet again a great vid. The drink's cabinet is beautiful, really nicely done and great attention to detail. Great piece of Walnut, you did the timber a service and made it look really good. I used to own a custom cabinet business for 15 years and I built a cabinet for a client that was very similar to the one here except there was no epoxy when we were building. This was back in the early 2000's! I would have to guess around $22,500 for that liquor cabinet. The one we built was a replica of a design she saw in an architectural magazine that was listed for well over $100,000!

Crikey. I guessed right on the table. Now the cabinet is very custom and outside help was brought in, sooooo, $22,500. Although there is far less resin than the big tables. Hmm. I'll stick with my first guess. The blue in the new resin pigment looked so crispy clean 👌🏼👍🏼🤜🏼🤛🏼 Also yes to the start to finish, maybe as your second video for the week.

The quality just shines through on the liquor cabinet - well done guys, the owner will be over the moon. Therefore, a composite cabinet fabrication video will be the icing on the cake. Cost, I guess circa $18,500 Also, yes, please make a video on the cooling table - intrigued to hear how it was designed and then finally constructed and seeing it in action - maybe a time-lapse of temperature measurement of its success!

You should get some thermal conductivity measurements done on your resin, so you know how thick you really can go w/the water cooling. Blessings!

I am very interested to learn more about your cooling table ? Are you going to use a glycol mix to prevent freezing what sort of cut out temp will it have and running temp ? Will it work on thicker pours ? As being a cold plate on the bottom it depends on the thermal conductivity of the resin to cool the top or will you rely on convection if that does take place will the resin cure clear as you will have movement in the resin would it work better with a box over the resin pour and and remove heat from both sides at same time ?

They used cooling pipes for the concrete when making Hoover Dam. Puts you in good company. Cabinet looks good. Mess up your hair a bit, too perfect for working in a shop.
