That crack has probably been there for a million years, so yeah, it's probably going to break off while he's under it. Plus, didn't you see all those rocks he put under it to hold it up? Lol

@@redfields5070 I took my family to the city park for a picnic. We were putting our food on the table, and a big rotten limb fell from about 35 feet and landed between my wife and me. There was no wind at all. Things fall when they are ready.

I saw that. The heat from that fire could have made the rock break loose.. It will fall someday, and someone may be under it when it does.

@@-MagicScorpion You equate a million year old rock with a branch falling from a tree? In both cases, spend a few minutes looking things over then get on with it, one way or another.

I would advise using thick leather gloves while clearing those stones from the area.

In this shelter, there is no waste of precious wood. It is only to collect stone and made a simple shelter.

Generally fat tailed scorpions are venomous, so be careful, that tail was quite thick ... Enjoyed your post, thank you :-)

Why throw all of those smaller stones out instead of using them to fill in all the gaps between the larger stones? It looks okay, but it wouldn't stop a cold draft. Plus, with the large Crack above, you're building a sluice into the depression.
