Ja es liegen auch ganz bestimmt überall Felsbrocken rum, vor allem sind die auch schwer. Naja, starke Männer halt. 😂 Mein Papa hat mir früher sowas ähnliches gezeigt. Es hat den Unterschlupf aber direkt an einen Baum gemacht, nach Art eines halben Indianerzeltes dünne, dürre Baumstämme so aufgestellt dass sie im Giebel überkreuzt waren und dann hat er die Stangen wie bei einem Flechtkorb mit Laub oder Tannenäste verwoben. Zum Schluss hat er blattreiche, tannenreiche Äste von oben nach unten hängen lassen, damit Wasser ablaufen kann. Man blieb trocken.

Wow, thats fantastic. No paracord. No tarp. For an inside daytime light source I've seen people in the shantytown of Mumbai, India using plastic drink bottles filled with a mixture of water and bleach which in your case would be stuck thru the walls near the top. Works really well during the day, and you have your lanterns for night. Awesome.

An interesting exercise. Some place less exposed would be a first consideration, e.g., a hollow, fold or maybe even a cave, or make a scrape or a deeper hole, out of the wind/rain side. Also, people who live in grass houses should be careful when lighting a fire - out of the dried grass that was strewn everywhere! Safety first...always! Otherwise, a nice exercise out under the stars for a night, with that well-dressed dawg! And with only the wind and rain for a soundtrack! Excellent stuff! GGs

Hey! You're not alone, you have a dog. Dogs are great when it's cold. I spent a winter in a drafty camper with no electricity. Put a couple of dogs in the bed and you'll be nice and warm. They have a higher body temp than humans.👍

I would copy this build in a heart beat. Simple and sturdy for the environment. I really dislike sharp high winds like this Andes locale, physiological challenges like the winds make are hard. This hut would cover almost all the bases!
