One more advantage for mobile apps is that stores do marketing for us if app is good enough. I recently launched app and without any marketing I crossed 2k+ downloads and made some revenue.

yep, I feel like App Store optimization is a bit easier than search engine optimization

As far as I know, for mobile most people build react native app instead of native iOS or android app. so if you are new developer thinking about what to chose go for JavaScript/react route that way you can handle both web and mobile. This is my observation based on European market.
@YourAverageTechBro2 ай бұрын
cross platform solutions like react native/flutter are very popular. I think the one criticism they get is that they are never as "smooth" or "buttery" as a native one, but I think it's a pretty small criticism imo.

The cool thing with React native, is that the single code base can ve compiled to run anywhere, ios, android, windows, mac, web, apple tv os, android tv, heck even the meta quest

I’ve always used my browser to visit social media. I don’t download the app versions. No need. Old habit of trying to save space on phone. Just never changed it

Love this video ❤ I am a cs student and new to programming. I have a startup idea that needs a Mobile App. I am currently using React Native with Expo. It’s kinda tough cause I have to learn React first 😅

What do you think about cross-platform development, especially using Flutter and Dart? Do you believe Flutter has a future? Or is Koitlin still a better way to go? I'm a senior graduating next year and have started learning Flutter to build an app for a social media startup idea.

I build my apps using react native so I'm a big proponent of cross platform frameworks. Makes life very easy.

what about desktop app. most people don't talk about that but it is useful in some cases?
@Cheef_official2 ай бұрын
I think people will only install a software if its a big one like adobe ,fl etc and they prefer web for simpler software. Like all I have installed are editors ,IDEs and built-in apps 😅
@YourAverageTechBro2 ай бұрын
Desktop apps are definitely great, but I do think to convince a user to download a desktop app is harder than downloading a mobile app or going to a website. Some apps definitely require desktop apps though!
@ken.li1562 ай бұрын
@@Cheef_official Desktop app is still pretty big though, all video games on the computer are technically desktop apps, game distribution like steam is another desktop app, professional tools like CAD software, video editing, photoshop, etc. are all desktop apps as well. Now developing desktop apps is probably not in the realm for most beginner developers though I'll give you that, unless you want to learn C++ as your first programming language and dealing with win32 API.

Hi Channel Owner, Can you tell us how do validate your SaaS ideas and how much it costs you?

I validate my SaaS ideas by only building tools that have already proven themselves in the market with other competitors. I don't validate new ideas myself. I let others validate them for me
