@@space.cowboy69 In a time attack car there tends to be significant aero solutions in the front as well to balance the car, there is only a very conservative splitter in the front, that in no way matches the downforce capabilities of that wing. In this setup the massive wing is just pressing rear of the car down and creating lift in the front, resulting in worse lap times. You can actually see how he took the wing off in the track footage, most probably realizing it too. There was a good Speedhunters article on time attack aero where they explain this much better than I do, I suggest you look it up if you are interested.

the body kit was one of the cleanest i ve sen so far but that wing just doesnt do it for me aswell. i feel like this just looks out of place and messes up the clean and mature look of the rs

Great video, mad respect for doing it in a parking lot. I hope you get some massive aero in the front as well, to balance the load and make that gigantic rear wing actually functional in track use. @@macpettit2327 No problem man. Gotta give credit where it is due. I took delivery of mine in July of 2016 and haven't done much to it yet. I have put a drop in air filter, rmm, catback exhaust and stainless braided brake lines. I have an accessport and ets intercooler waiting to be installed but haven't had the time to do the work. I plan to build an engine once it is paid off and would like to do a similar wide body install. I will definitely be using your video as a reference.

Love the RS... I have a RR 2016 ST that is a full stage3 (Cobb stage 3, 93 tune). I love the platform..its one of the best hatchbacks ever made as far aesthetics go. I've eyed the 2018 limited edition RR RS (only year available in red) but they're hard to find down here in South Texas...and they're so marked up still it's not really worth the upgrade from my ST. I'll prob just get a custom tune and call it a day since its just my dd... Props on that build..that RS in wide-body format looks killer...With that kit on a RR RS and some bronze wheels...oh man... O.o

@@macpettit2327 lol. Its beautiful country up there. Twisty back roads and a fantastic hot hatchback is a no brainer. Just rolled over 15k on mine bought it used so only got to put 1k miles on it and it was struck in a parking lot (hit and run) Memorial day in the bumper to the tune of 1,700 in damage😭. So far I've enjoyed every second of it soon as I get a second set of rims I'm looking to start track days myself.

Idk if you will see this but, how is the quality of the body kit, I do not see airtec for a focus st so I plan to do sstunings very soon. Just wondering if the fenders are cheap or sturdy and seem somewhat durable.
