I swear XP runs on anything. I have it running on an i3-3240 with a GT710, SB Live, a 32GB SSD for Debian 10 and a 500GB HDD for XP (split in two, second half is a shared disk). 12GB RAM too.

I've built a Core 2 Quad XP system too, around a Q9650, with a BeQuiet! ShadowRock LP cooler, 8GB G.Skill DDR2 1000 memory, Gigabyte EP35-DS3R motherboard, EVGA 2GB 750 Ti SC (with backplate), Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum SB0090, SanDisk X400 256GB & 512GB boot SSDs, 1TB & 2TB WD Black storage HDDs, Lite-On DVD writers and a 3.5" Sony Floppy Drive. It's all built inside a Cooler Master Elite 370 case, with a Scythe Kaze Master KM01-BK fan controller, and an EVGA SuperNova 550 G2 modular PSU. Got XP Pro 32-bit to dual boot with 8.1 Pro 64-bit, and installed the unofficial SP4 to activate XP. Still prefer optical media to install everything though, as Easy2Boot seems to be anything but easy. ;-)

it is a early 2008 computer since it was designed for Windows Vista since it ran on Windows XP so it is a circa 2007-2008 Computer since its a core 2 duo

I have a Optiplex 755 MT and awhile back, I upgraded it to 8GB Ram, Core 2 Quad Q6600 and Nvidia GT 720, Installed XP, it ran beautifully. No longer has XP, its a Hackintosh now....

Nice! You can still activate Windows XP using the OEM license if you are planning to reinstall it on one unless the proper drivers are installed with Ethernet connection.

The 64bit version of XP isn't that great regarding the compatibility with older and sometimes newer software, the 32bit version is better in almost any way.

XP/2003 x64 SP2 is functionally equivalent to XP 32-bit SP3.

Hey Billy not sure if you saw my comment on your 2010 decade over video but if you still have the Packard Bell with the motherboard that has the socket 7 with the broken latch I found a website where you can rebuy the entire socket 7 itself even ram socket and pga sockets. If interested I can give you the link and for less than 10 dollars you can replace it if you or someone you know has some good soldering stills can get it back up and running again. If you want XP to see more then 3.5 GB, you'll need to install a PAE patch.

@@TheNostalgiaMall Interesting, I've never had it with the patch I've used however I had my fair share with the dibya patch. I'll screw with it if I put XP on the next system I get. I generally don't run XP on that era of hardware or in general, so I don't have that much time to mess with it.

You could run Windows 10 on 4GB of RAM. I have an HP Pavilion tower that came with Vista that is now running Windows 10 without an issue unless you count slowness as an issue. It has a Core 2 Duo E4700 CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce 9300GE. Also 4GB DDR2 RAM and 64-bit OS. All the vintage PCs that I have quit on me with the 3-1-3 beep code after using my grandmother's old hard drive. The motherboards in them will not even post to the Dell Logo. It is so frustrating and the beep code may be wrong. It is hard to figure out with any Dell PC without having the table in front of you.

Most likely. Q9500 is similar to Q9550 except it has half the L2 cache.
