Looks nice. I like that the wood doesn’t go all the way to the ground. Having it up a few inches protects the wood from damage by weed wackers and water.

Looks good im trying to decide whether to space out the pickets then come back & cap the sides with pickets so leaves out the gaps when boards shrink, seen couple other videos where they space each board 5" apart then vomr back to overlay the space being the width is usually 5-1/2" which would give a 1/4" overlay on the boards never having to deal with gaps when wood shrinks.

Paint the posts and wire the same color as the wood. Do a 2-sided wood fence Put the stringers onto both sides of the chain link fence, put boards on both sides.

It's easier to stain the wood before you install it on the fence. To make the chain link side look better, paint the posts and wire close to the color of the wood. A roller does a good enough job on the wires.

How tall is that chain link fence is the wood fence holding up good did you make any adjustment later down the line

Can you tell me the size of lumber you used ? The one you painted are untreated wood ?

Yes untreated wood was 2x4, pickets were 6ft tall, 5 5/8 inches width

Its your fence you can install however you want unless there are separate rules that control that in your area.
