I built over a 100 rabbit cages in the past 6 months. I get my wire from Amazon , best prices I found so far. I use a break to bend mine I do 4 ft at a time . I can have a 4-ft cage together with a divider done in probably seven or eight minutes. But when you do have to make cuts definitely use a grinder with a cut off wheel

I've made cages like this. I call it the Sandwich Method. LOL However, isn't one-inch flooring a little bit difficult for quail to walk on all the time? I think they need smaller spacing. But you could always add a floor piece to do that. I also decide to tilt the cage a little bit, so the eggs roll forward. No sense in trying to put in a slanted floor in a square cage, right? That would limit it's use for other future efforts in raising something else. I prefer to have a helper with the wire cutting, just to avoid the scratched hands. Tin Snips work great!

Well at least you admitted your mistake at not doing the 11 inch end first. When I did that, I just cut off the extra inches and kept going. :)

Did you know . . . you can add 4 inches on each end of one piece, and make little feet for the cage bottom to be up off the ground? Leave enough space to put one of the standard poo pans to collect!
