One can get so much mileage out of your "slice, twist" technique with the knife to get incredible looking stone. I can't imagine ever bothering with wet work like clay or casting when you can do this and get instant results.

THANK YOU so much for such a fantastic, easy to follow and build-yourself tutorial video. I have wanted to make something like this for a long time, just for fun, but didn't think to use foam, thinking wire and milliput would have to do instead. This is something I can do all day now, making a "small" army of these creatures, from all the pieces of foam I have left after building terrain. I already have ideas for both "male" & "female" figures, which are making me laugh before I even get started. I've subscribed to your channel now, as you are so inspiring, and I'm learning some great new tips after over 40 years of model making :-) Again, thank you for such a fun and easy to build-yourself tutorial. Imagine how cool this would be if you made a negative space inside of a cliff face for this thing. Have it completely surprise players while it's sitting there right in front of them. Blow their minds. There'd definitely be some issues making that work but nothing impossible I suspect.

"They looks like such big, good, strong hands don't they?" Sorry, I tried to resist but in the end I couldn't help it; I had to add one appropriate quote. In all seriousness though, I've seen a lot of homemade miniatures and this is hands down one of the coolest. You could really go crazy with the paint job and the kinds of things you could add on as extras; given the diversity of environments/terrain and greenery, you could make a whole bunch of these and none of them would have to look the same color-wise (I think we all know already that its unlikely they'd look the same in shape and form, and that's part of what makes them cool).

Hey, I just watched the video. Great build, you actually inspired me to build 2 golems, one made the way you made it, the other one made by picking the shape apart with my fingers, and re-glueing the little cuttings back on, making him look like a mound of tiny boulders. But one thing at the end of the video caught my eye: you have an amazing set of trees, which seems to be the only craft I can't figure out how to make. can you show us how you made your trees?

omer yolal so I am doing some ice terrain, and found that if you base your terrain in white, then do a wash of a very light blue but not cover everything. Then I add pearlecent white and a thin coat of hologram paint ( glue and iridescent glitter can substitute for hologram paint) I find it gives a nice ice effect. Then I just add hot glue icesicles. I have some pictures on my Instagram account @damselsindungeons
