Very well done, Ryan. I'm 80 years old and in very good shape. Hobbyist performance car mechanic so know the ropes with tools, etc. So thinking on this kind of project. Nice that you live close to Vans headquarters. Need a part… hop in the car and get it. I live as far east from Vans and still be in the U.S. as you can get. Continued success on your plane.

Great episode. I still think those wings would look great hanging in your living room and give you some more space. Don’t they have to be temperature stabilized for several months so the rivets harden and achieve full strength? ;)

I do have an extinguisher. I never really thought about a fast exit. I’ve pretty well blocked off front and back. Hopefully the fire isn’t in the house, because that’s my only way out! The boots are from Danner. I’ve had them for about 10 years. I don’t know if they make this model anymore-they’re about to need new soles.
