Hi Mark and Crutchfield. Just as a note that YT adds do work. I never heard about Crutchfield before visiting this channel for the first time some years ago (2017 I think). After the first time I saw Mark demonstrate how easy I could find things matching my vehicle, I was "sold". My go to source and, also my number one when it comes to recommend others for information for their own cases.

I wish I knew an installer here in Phoenix as skilled and trustworthy as you. I’ve got a new 2024 Colorado and there is only 1 premade box available and it is difficult to splice a loop to interrupt the door signal to amplify them and run a 5 channel.

I bet they are around but they are charging 5 figure bills to work in 6 figure vehicles owned by people who dont care about warranty's. I waited for my vehicle warranty to expire before I built my first system in 20 years.

@keithzim is accurate

@@KeithZimif its done professionally a dealer can't void your warranty due to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. Now if its a botch job they can certainly say they wont warranty something, but the burden of proof is on the dealership to prove that what you did caused the issue. Hence why if you're not 100 percent confident, pay someone that is.

Dude I completely understand you in that I got a 2018 the previous model and there is only one that I kinda of like out of 2 or 3 total that are made but they are all iffy to my personal opinion and the only ones I’ve seen for your model is on the same company of the one I kinda of like which is subthump

Have you tried using a tracksaw yet? I’ve been a renovation/ finish carpenter for a few decades so I know what it takes to be able to use a table saw like that. Every tool requires time to learn the techniques to use it proficiently but they are very intuitive and can be very accurate with the tso accessories. Love what you do, been watching for a few years.

Great video. Instead of using your router for that angle cut with that guide I would make a L Fence for the table saw. Mdf is hard on router bits so I don't do large cuts with them.
@CarAudioFabrication2 ай бұрын
Another option for sure! Quality router bits definitely makes a difference though. The big box store ones seem to expire after a cut. With my Mobile Solutions library of bits I really only have to replace the spiral trims every once in awhile, and the time savings that bit offers allowing me to just cut through materials is worth it.
@melissathompson72292 ай бұрын
Yea using Bryan's bits I haven't replaced one in many years. Although I always rough cut with a jig saw so it doesn't have to router so much material of course

I'm making a similar design at home to drop two 12" woofers into my hatchback's spare tire well, then build a box above the curved spare tire well space that I'm making. Can't wait to see how you follow the angled profile for the top lid.

Unfortunately the transmission hump in those gets in the way of fun. Better to go with forward firing and this designs style: www.caraudiofabrication.com/product-page/underseat-ported-nswus
