Can i do this with a b18c4 engine and what would i need to do to the head.

The crank girdle only comes on type r engines right? So it bolts on to any b block? What’s the point of the girdle? I’m trying to learn everything I can before purchasing a B18 for my civic hatchback, new to engine building.

doing this setup in my gsr block bc it spun a rod bearing, only question i havent found a solid answer to is can i re use my gsr CP pistons with the LS rods?

rods, yes. Pistons, no. Thrust washers should be same.

Can you put a b18b crankshaft and rods to a b16a2 block?

No. The b16 block is shorter.

I’m attempting to do a Gsr Stroker build. So far I have My original ls long block top to bottom. I bought a Gsr swap, spun a bearing in it. So I decided instead of trying to salvage the Gsr crank to use the ls crank. I have ls crank golden eagle oil squirters delete. 81.5 mm Wiesco high comp pistons and rings. Eagle h beam ls rods w/arp bolts. Arp head studs. Oem Honda Gsr oil pump, acl 000.1 bearings. Acl bearings and thrust washers. Oem rear main. New oil pan and valve cover gaskets ,water pump and timing belt. New radiator, thermostat. fans , ps,ac,condenser.Hondata 3. Any thing else you can think of?

Using the gsr block, you don't have to run the external oil line.

Timelapse music got me vibin over here. How much extra stroke do you get using LS crank and rods? No need to modify sleeves or block at all? Can’t believe I didn’t know you could do this.

No need to modify anything, it essentially makes it a 1.9 L

I have a question ,can i use a b20 crank with b20 conecting rods?? I think b20 cranks and b18b1 cranks are the same but not sure im kind of new at this stuff any answers will be greatly appreciated thanks

Found this channel because of my CR-V. Trying to figure out what I should do with it. Has 292k on original motor and trans. Motor is getting tired would you rebuild and try for 500k or just scrap it and get a new vehicle? Very little rust and in great shape?

Im building my b18c1 head an block with b20 crank and rods, want to see the diference between my last b20 VTEC

May have a little less torque due to piston size, but way stronger.

@@hondaresource yes ..i'd broke 3 b20 VTEC blocks the last one was because bad tunning to rich. Tomorrow I ll start the New motor and see the difference at the track after tunning and Dyno Im using p73 oversize 82mm pistons ... high compression.

I just test in the track my b18c1 ls crank + rods. And the B20 VTEC has more torque and HP!! DINO RESULTS (B20vtec 216.5 HP AND 169 lbs Torque) (B18C1 ls internals 196 HP and 132 lbs Torque) I think I should shave the block deck to get "o" diference between block deck and pistons edge. to get more compression, Engine feels very strong At the track b20vtec is faster.

@@MPFvan that's because the b20v is a 84mm Bore where the gsr is 81mm

@@hondaresource my last B20VTEC was 84.5mm and the New b18c1 ls crank is 82mm, a lot differece. The other factor is the weight.. now a have a Roll cage and the rims are to heavy too. Thanks

I think this one was around 10:1. I don't typically do engine builds for customers.

Im putting together my gsr motor and i have used eagle rods, i have the arp lube and the arp 2000 rod bolts with the 3/8 head the website says 28 ft lbs is this correct? or what’s preferred?
