I hope you can respond or anyone in the comments but I just bought one and it’s having a rough time in first gear accelerating but then does fine once in second. Engine code showed something with the catalytic converter. My code scanner is cheap so hopefully it’s something small and not my transmission😩 any tips?

Hey man I replaced my belt and after everything was said and done I noticed the notch on lower timing cover was off a little to the left of the timing make on crankshaft pulley. Should I redo everything until it matches perfectly or is it okay for the notch to be a little the left?

That dash holes pretty cool, after you take that unit out you could make a big ole storage space. probably fit 25 tacos in there eh? LOL

I don't get it. I am not going to go buy a bunch of new sensors and I don't really care to have a air bag blow up in face ever. I don't see why you are hooking all those wires, if the thing deployed already are the sensors already done? I mean, are they reusable?/ the things that set the bags off in the bumper I mean. I just wanna pull the damaged looking stuff out and put decent looking dash pads back on the holes. steering and pass dash. boom boom nothing fancy. or will it not run right that way?

Is there any reason I cannot break the crank bolt loose first, before disassembling everything? It seems like I could break it loose then tighten it up again to turn the motor. Obviously, if I can't get the crank bolt loose it's a deal breaker on the timing belt replacement. Thank you for the great video.

Replacing all the valves stem seals is not even worth all that hard work. Pull out the cylinder head, buy the head gasket kit, send the cylinder head to a machine shop, and do the job right. If the valve stem seals need to be replaced, then guess what? So does the head gasket. Here in southern California, sending out the head to a machine shop is only $120, maybe a little more. And yes, I've already tried resurfacing the head myself, lapping the valves, but this saved me no money considering the time it takes to run the block back & forth across some flat surface with 2 sanding belts glued to it, then repeating the same process with a finer sand paper as a final step. Here in the U.S., you shouldn't be that poor, or that cheap to just send it out to a machine shop and reinstalling the head yourself.

wonder if theyre using the awd and manual from a second gen crv, becouse this is an acura k24 itd need an adaptor plate to run the b series transmision and transfer case awd setup from the rd1, is it the automatic and real time from a second gen fully swapped in or did the second gen come with a manual transmision too?

I got a '01 SE as my first car in high school, and I still have it now that I'm in college. I love my car so much I don't think I'll ever get rid of it (barring an unexpected event of spontaneous explosion). It's got 180k miles on it now and I'm pretty confident I can get another 100k easy. The BEST camping car and daily commuter. The town I'm living in for school has a lot of rich kids, and a lot of my friends with newer beamers or mercedes still like my car better than theirs. Honda knew what they were doing!!

Glad to see you’re back, I was wondering if you’d decided to stop YouTubing. Excited for the turbo CRV content. Finally swapped my CRV to manual it was a process for sure but it’s amazing how all the holes and harness are plug and play even with an automatic car.
