Build arches out of the available wood and install in the tunnel, you don’t want a wall collapsing and all your hard work gets wasted or you lose your life.

Hebrews 1:8 - The son is God Isiah 9:6 - The messiah, the son born, is Mighty God There is no God but God, and Jesus is God. In John 14:6 Jesus says He is the only way to the Father, not any mere prophet. Turn to the only true saviour and He will forgive you of your sin by your faith, for your own efforts will never be enough, Jesus is the ONLY way. If you disagree then explain how these Bible verses are not obvious.

If you're going to haul a pick axe why not a real shovel? It would make it so much easier over a trenching tool on the initial digging.

Can the roof collapse ? I might use the hay / grass to sleep on the ground and use the branches to support the roof not to collapse if it does in the same manor you made the bed but longer brasses for the height of that survival shelter !

I think... Fun shelter, but not for long term, and not in a survival situation. Sooner or later, that roof comes down, and with the fire there drying the soil out ? That will accelerate the process. Bad use of energy for a short term shelter. You'd be better off with a pit house rather than going fully underground. As a long term shelter, too small. But it would work if it were bigger and you put in adequate supports. Personally I'd dig the whole thing out, build a structure with log walls and roof, then use the spoil to cover it over.
Interesting experience. In my area it will be much harder to find such spot. This is good bushcraft exercise, but it’s not good option as a short term survival shelter. Why? Too much energy needed. Survival is about energy saving.
@Matteo-1Ай бұрын
Yeah, it's like a long term thing that you might build when stuck in the wilderness for months with the basic needs met. I once heard that a Japanese soldier lived in an underground hut thing after WW2 ended and never knew the war ended!

@@dnaworships4267. I have stage 4 non small lung cancer ,, you can get cancer by RADON , the gas coming from underneath the ground .. my other question is there enough oxygen .. maybe you should see underground houses how they do it they dig a hole underneath the ground and then they put wood around the sides and hammer it in and then you sticks up on top and then put mud on top. It wouldn’t collapse, but I think this probably would during a hard storm or flood maybe 🥶
