Building Cafe Racer EFI From Royal Enfield C5 Part I Body

Dan has converted his classic C5 Royal Enfield electronic fuel injected motorcycle into a magnificent Café Racer. It has been a very long project with numerous variations in the engine to enhance its performance over several years.
This video shows the first part, modification of existing RE parts or making parts from scratch or finding parts from other bikes that could be fitted on RE frame to give it a Café Racer identity.

Nicely done Singh ! @ Charles Edenfield. The bracing on the swing arm is to eliminate flex and add rigidity to it. Particularly in the side tubes and their connection to the front pivot tube. For better handling and tracking. It helps to eliminate any positive or negative camber in the rear wheel when torque is applied and in the corners. The bike handles extremely well .

Gday I'm in Darwin Australia, 62 years old and I have been looking for someone who has the brains and inclination to do something with the C5. You are using the original EFI, less pump and fuel gauge? The cams are ground for solid lifter operation with clearance ramps? Are the cams ground with reduced base circles, so a bit of a mill of the barrel will compensate with a little extra compression and squish? What EFI conroller are you using and is it one so that the ignition advance profile can be mapped? Mate, I have a mllon questions ! The Northern Territory is hot and flat and I want to make a cruiser that will handle 110 to 120 kmh. I bought a 2009 C5 classic ( no the wife bought it for me so I would have an interest apart for beer again) and I bought a extra 2013 UCE motor to measure up because of the ridiculously small amount of technical information for the UCE. I would very much like to "massage" one motor to take the grin off the Triumph and Harley mob :-) Thanks for the video and thanks for any info you might like to share.

+hamza ali : They were made by Scooter Bob who is in the first video, "Fastest RE Café Racer 500cc EFI UCE". There will be a few pictures of these high lift race cams in my next video where we can discuss more about them and other components of this high power engine.
