I gored my leg and got 6 stitches 3 months ago mountain biking. Nothing has hurt my confidence more than getting gashed in a sport you usually get blunt force hits falling

Sinter (the brand) makes amazing brakepads. I’m running the green series. Amazing pads, they feel soft and can bite when u want them to, no fade and they work in wet and dry. Don’t want other pads.

Talk about timing. I dislocated my right shoulder a couple of weeks ago in a nasty crash after a front tire wash, and had to get hauled out on a stretcher and got an ambulance ride to the ER. Worst pain I've ever had in my life. I'm just now getting to the point that I can move my arm, though not in all directions, and it's still painful. This crash is gonna set me back for a long time I think.

Great advice on returning to riding after an injury. The thing is though, there's a big difference between crashing unscathed (maybe a few scrapes and a bruised ego and a paint-chipped bike) and crashing and breaking a bone or twisting/spraining something! My crash average is probably something like once every 15-20 rides or so and the vast majority of those crashes are pretty harmless. Confidence returns in a few rides. A few weeks ago however, my luck ran out and I've joined the throngs of riders/sports enthusiasts who have broken their collarbone, GAH! All I can think about is getting back on the bike but I am definitely going to progress SLOWLY and hopefully I'll eventually be able to return to my beginner jumps again with some confidence, lol!

I've been amazed at just how well Forekaster F & R perform over all types of terrain! Much better than Rekon F&R combo which came as OE on my Santa Cruz. But, I still need a more aggressive tread, like DHR II for big climbs on loose stuff. Could be rider error - I'm no "Liam Woods"😊

I think I am going to try Forekaster/Forekaster on my Ripley. My Rekon has been slipping.

I've been running galfer pads and rotors for a couple years now and love them. The pro pads are my goto as there is essentially no break in needed with great power at all temps, but they do go quick on the rear with the shark rotor. Neko runs the ebike pad in the rear with the shark and I see why. The only downside with the shark rotors is it appears to be so aggressive in pulls the pad down and will bend that crummy cotter pin on the shimano brake. I wish shimano would have a pin like the sram...the only part I wish shimano took from sram brakes 😉

I have a dual Ikon setup on my XC wheels and I was wholly unprepared for the lack of grip over Enduro tires. I love that they're light and fast but anything loose and I spin out. I never think about grip with DHR2s but it's all I think about when pushing the Ikons

Yep sounds pretty accurate. Rekons surprisingly have much more grip than the Ikons, while the tread lasts :)
