Great stuff. Try putting some small stones in the bucket first then pour your cement. You can get the weight with the small stones first then your cement will go on top . You don`t use as much cement too. Wow looks like your going to be filling the freezer. I am going to make some beds this weekend. Good luck.

The white pine sticks look like they would deteriorate quickly and it would be easy to get snagged when you cast near or into the habitat. I think PVC pipe would work well in small diameter sections that are inexpensive and will last a long, long time and be resistant to snags. But heck run what ya brung? Use what you have on hand. It's all good. Thanks.

I've never seen anyone go to as much trouble to do something the hard way. No need to pre-screw the boards into the bucket, then later try and mix the concrete inside the bucket. Simply mix up your concrete in a wheelbarrow, pour into bucket, then place the sticks in one at a time and wait. Better yet, use 1/2" pvc and the hook will not get hung up, slides right up the pvc.

The only problem with using Wood instead of Plastic Pipe is the Snags on Wood and there will be No Snags on Plastic Pipe. And Sand the Plastic Pipe so Moss can attach to it.
