It's not a show car exhaust, but way cheaper than having an exhaust shop bend one up. Actually, due to new NYS laws I probably wouldn't even find a shop willing to do it.

There was an episode of engine Masters (That was the show motor trend made here on KZbin following roadkill except it actually had useful information in it not just entertainment). I will see if it's still listed although I doubt it. Anyways they actually used a 454 like you would have in a one ton truck and they did x pipes, h-pipes and no cross over pipes and there was very little to almost no difference between the three on the Dyno. That being said If I remember correctly they all preferred the h-pipe because of how mellow it made the exhaust sound personally I kind of like the "raspiness" from each engine bank being separate because you can literally tell which side a misfire may be in with a quick ear shot.

I love Engine Masters, they do all kinds of cool testing. The only thing I don't really find useful is all their dyno testing numbers start over 4000 rpm. I rarely ever spin any of my engines even to 4000 rpm. Making hp at 6000 rpm doesn't really apply to regular street driving (on V8s anyway).

@@QuickSpeedShop I agree Most street cars mid-level RPM range would be more relevant. That being said, you can figure that if there's breathing issues it will be at higher RPM.

why didn't you use the magnum stock truck manifolds dump out rear out of way of starter and oil filter or the magnum headers would have given you more room

I originally bought Magnum headers. The rear dumps don't clear the clutch linkage.
