I made a charging controller from the website: www.thebackshed.com/Windmill/...
Battery pack Li ion 18650 Sony 34Ah 3S with 100A BMS.
Additionally, a 100W Pv solar panel connected to the system.
Inverter 12-230V 500/1000W.
Till now, the highest power obtained from the two wind turbines is 340W

Hello. Nice project. One question. How did you connect the coils to the rectifier? I was wandering why you did not mount diodes on each cable for both on the coils for the eliminating one of the loads. That way it was moving freely and not transforming in to a load.

Congratulations for your meticulous work. If we remove the coils and assemble the stator irons. Then, wouldn't it be more efficient if we wind the same wires in the form of a one-piece stator?

I can not answer for this question. I used in this project simple and ready solutions without complicated calculations.

Hello, I am doing a final project for my class on wind turbines, I know this is an old video but if still active could you give me some help/ tips on how to construct something similar? I understand basic electronics needed such as rectifiers and how motors work (Stator permanent magnets etc.) Any help is appreciated. I have access to advanced tools including CNC.

It's hard to say but IMO yes. 6 Wings starts spinning very fastly.

I'd guess it activates a brake of some sort (either mechanical or electrical) or else feathers the propeller, so that the turbine doesn't break in high winds.

This turn turbine off wind when it is too strong and can cause unwanted very high values (creating RPM over generator possibilities). Keep in mind tile is on the hinge+spring probably!

Hello! You mean Hall sensors? Just cut it. You don't need them. Both rectifiers are connected in serial. Sorry but I don't have electronic diagram. Have a nice day!

Я сомневаюсь что каждый статор может генерировать 150 Вт. Высота мачты маленькая, диаметр лопастей маленький, скорость ветра небольшая. Я думаю, что один целый ветрогенератор ( 2 статора) даёт не более 100 Вт.

It is not easy to connect 2 AC sources in parallel one should consider that the 2 or more sources should have, 1. Same voltage output. 2. Same phase shift. 3. Same phase sequence. Did you consider these perimeters

That's right. This is why I've connected every source via rectifier and than outputs in Series.

Witaj Jacku ponownie. Udało mi się połączyć już dwa wirniki, wszystko spasowane,obraca się płynnie. No było zabawy,I to bez CNC, ale bez tokarki się nie obyło. Wyprowadziĺem 6 przewodów przez ośkę. Ośkę rozwierciłem trochę do fi 9,5mm by zmieścić 6 przewodów. Dałem najgrubsze jak tylko się dało, no ale mogły by być grubsze ale otwór w ośce to ograniczenie. I tu moje pytanie jak Ty to rozwiązałeś u siebie? Pozdrawiam!

Ja nic nie rozwiercalem. Zastosował emocji oryginalne przewody które były w desce. Wbrew pozorom te przewody nie są takie źle i na krótki odcinek do mostka prostownicze go wystarczają w zupełności. Szkoda osłabiać ośki przez wiercenie. Pozdrawiam i czekam na końcowy projekt😉

Witaj Jacku. Równjeż buduję turbinę, ale wielopłatową typu amerykanka. Turbinę już mam gotową, gondola też się kończy. Również chcę zrobić z dwóch silników od hoverboard, wczoraj właśnie przyszły. I teraz mam pytanie do Ciebie. Czyli lepiej ich nie łączyć bezpośrednio tj. Równolegle uzwojeniami? Wyprowadzić po 3 fazy na zewnątrz czyli 6 przewodów na dwa mostki prostowniczy i z jednego mostka plus a z drugiego mostka minus idzie do baterii. Czy tak masz? I jeszcze jedno pytanie jak połączyłeś że sobą obie obudowy aluminiowe bo niestety nie widać na filmie. Będę bardzo wdzięczny za odpowiedź🤭

Cześć Marcinie. Właśnie ten materiał jak wykonywałem obróbkę na CNC mi przepadł;/ w każdym razie wszystko robiłem na frezarce CNC. Było z tym trochę roboty. W ogóle te silniki różnią się minimalnie rozmiarami, zależy jak się trafi, na pewno w jednej deskorolce są identyczne ale w drugiej niby takiej samej miały mniejszą średnicę o 5 mm. Jak mam być szczery proces jest dosyć skomplikowany i trzeba wszystko dobrze przemyśleć. Mój kuzyn mi pomógł w tej sprawie. Co do połączenia uzwojeń nie można ich łączyć razem równolegle, będą występować opory przy obrocie. Trzeba wypuścić 6 przewodów i podłączyć do dwóch 3f mostków. Mostki się grzeją więc dobrze przykrecic je do obudowy aluminiowej. Ja połączylem wyjścia z mostków szeregowo by szybciej uzyskać napięcie około 12 v potrzebne do ladowania baterii. Niestety to rozwiązanie ma minus bo moc uzyskana jest nie wiele większą od jednego generatora za to przy mniejszym wietrze. Wnioski mam takie że teraz wolał bym zrobić dwie turbiny z jednym generatorem z łopatami około 65cm.

@@j_s_projects1426 Wielkie dzięki za szczegóły. Nie napisałeś jak łączyłeś dwie obudowy aluminiowe. Nowe otory na wylot na krawędziach czy jak? Moja turbina ma średnicę 2,10m i 16 łopat. Ja niestety nie mam dostępu do CNC więc trzeba się będzie nagimnastykować. Jeszcze raz dzięki

@@TheMarcin264 pierwszy korpus generatora do którego przymocowane są łopaty zostawiłem bez przeróbek (jedynie pod frezowanie aby druga część była idealnie wycentrowana. W drugim odciąłem przód na konkretną głębokość tak aby po złączeniu zmieścił się wirnik z uzwojeniami. Równie zrobiłem pod frezowanie żeby spasowalo się z pierwszą częścią. Następnie skleilem dwie części że sobą klejem do metalu a następnie zespawalem w kilku miejscach. Pręt wirnika odciąłem od strony przewodów na odpowiednią wysokość. Następnie wywiercilem otwór fi 6 w obu prętach aby były wycentrowane i dobrze spasowane. Na koniec jak widać na filmiku skręciłem je że sobą 3 śrubami M4.

Remove all of the wires that are fitted to the motor, being careful not to damage the copper coil windings when you do. If you look at at the video at 1:37 you can see that one end of all of the windings are connected together (that's how the motor comes from the factory), so you need to connect a new wire to the free end of each of the windings (so three wires). It looks a bit complicated in the video because the windings from both stators are connected to the same output wires, though the author noted that that didn't work properly, so they were brought out separately to diode bridges in the final version (so a total of six wires out from the two stators, the three from each stator being fed to its own diode bridge, then the two dc outputs from the bridges being combined - making sure that the polarity of both outputs is the same🙂). From other comments (maybe in the video too, and I missed it) each diode bridge was also fitted with a 4,700uF capacitor. [Edited to add - I note that the author stated that he connected the two dc outputs in series, to increase the voltage output, not in parallel.]

It is a very interesting project. But I'm trying to understand why the connection of the two rotor windings doesn't work. In theory, if we keep the poles of magnet align, it should be possible. Have you tried to connect them in series ?

@@j_s_projects1426 The wing mounting should be in the middle or on the leading edge. The trailing edge of the wing is the slightly cut off one and is at the back of the windmill. This windmill is simply designed as a windmill to make wind, not as a windmill to receive wind energy.

Of course not, it is depend from wind power. Wind speed isn't constant.

Its a bit kinda strange to watch those low subs users, doing more useful videos than 500k subs users. its just wow. i got so many free info, n u definatly not even on utube partner program n got nothing from ads where showed..
