Love the ice cream truck in the background. Made me smile. Great idea. Looking to build arches for this years show.

Short sleeve shirt, the sound of an ice cream truck in the background (4:15 onwards). Must be time to work on Xmas lights! My neighbors think I'm crazy bc I start working on Halloween decorations in the winter. But, hey, I'm inspired to work on next year's show as soon as Halloween is over, and I need to be finishing up in the spring. Summer's too hot, and I have Halloween parties to hit by the time October arrives. What am I doing on here in June? Looking up Xmas projects to work on indoors with the kids over the summer!

What to say thanks, have built four so far today from a 100 ft. roll and the acetone takes the stamps of with ease. Comparing this to the HDPE as for price I cannot beat the deal $70 for a 100 ft. versus $240 for just 50 ft. of the HDPE shipped to my door.

Would you recommend inserting bullet pixels through pex tube?

Does the zip ties on the side of the strips keep the lights from falling out of the bottom. I made these, but the lights slip out at each end. Thanks!

Perhaps I missed this but I understand PEX does not hold up well when PEX is exposed to sunlight for very long. Can you address this issue?

How do you control the lights? I'm not to familiar with rbg strips and everyone shows how to make them but not how to put them together or the ending when you put them together for the show.

Thanks for the great video! I’m thinking of doing something similar. Two quick questions, any issues with heat causing problems from the LEDs inside the PEX Tubing? And was the PEX rigid enough for eight to 10 foot arch?
@Tony_12006 жыл бұрын
No issues with heat and only issue I had was that the pex comes coiled which causes the arch to bend. i used 3/4" pvc behind them and zip tied the pex to it so it would hold shape.

Tony Hight perfect, thanks for the info! I found 10’ straight pieces at Home Depot. The pvc backer is a good idea.

Question for you my pex arches are collapsing. I’m trying to do arches over the driveway, I wanted to do pex instead of pvc Bc the led strips glow way better inside the pex. Being it warm up today the pex fell down like spaghetti at night they are fine and Harding up. What can I do to support them from falling please help!! If u can.

Jeff C you can use guy wires and hold them all together, but have to stake the bases to hold the guy wires from the sides. You can spray the wires black after finishing a good support system to hold the large arches up, but this is if you're doing the arches on the ground. Doing it elsewhere would probably need a more thorough plan to set where the guy wires should be stringing from

I bet you could make it even cheaper and just use PVC for the bottom instead of the conduit
