Nice looking traps, I like the long parlor. Its -18 with a wind chill of - 30 here now, if you want a lobster here now you would have to set your trap under the ice.

hey buddy the building is easy. the sewing is what takes all the time. last year I made 120 traps. took jan. feb. march. to do. two of us working 8 hour days. soon be time to go back fishing. april 30.

We made the bows out of green alder when I was a kid but everybody fishes wire traps here now. I should make a few for old times sake !

yes we put 40 pounds of cement in them.and will last about 7 or 8 years Gonzo buddy.

Here the bows are made from ash,thats what everyone uses,,,I think there $ 2 each.
