Showing prices of items in the store is vital.. it gives your diaspora viewers a good comparison of cost saving items. Thanks

You're right. I was just doing the video to show what they had in Liberia. I should have shown some of the prices for those items that had prices on them.

Thanks for promoting our Beautiful Country. Your videos are always informative and I have watched so many of your videos including the ones on Liberia. Definitely buying your building materials in Liberia generates more revenue for the country regardless where it is bought. I have watched other KZbinrs featuring building material or supply stores etc. in Liberia including City Builders, Eagle Electric, Samsung - Hadid Electronics, Home City, International Aluminum Factory etc. and these are not Liberian Owned. I am familiar with this topic as I am currently working on a project in Liberia and we do not have Liberian Owned businesses at this scale in Liberia. When it comes to prices, some of the businesses do not have prices on all of their products and in most cases one will have to ask for the price. In my opinion, it is cost effective to buy your building materials or supplies in Liberia as you can find everything in Liberia. Again thanks for sharing.

My sister didn’t know they have all these things in Liberia, so she bought her her stuff from here (USA), and it cost her so much money to free it from the port. So I decided to do this video to let people know that all of these things are in Liberia. But good luck on your project.

Hello. So what is the benefit to Liberian citizens if we're going to promote business of by foreigners. How many local Liberian can afford this luxury building owned by Indian company? Or are you advising for the company as a marketing partner? I was searching online for liberian building supplies companies.
@scottandkanah3 жыл бұрын
I did this video because my sister is building her house in Liberia. She bought all her material from here in the states. It cost her so much money to ship them. Then when it got to the port, she spent thousands of dollars. Then some of her stuff were stolen. She had to pay more money to transport it to her house. Then, the bugs ate most of her furniture because of the kind of material. Overall, she spent over $20,000 to send her container. She would have spent a lot less. I only did this video to let other people that are trying to build in Liberia that they can buy materials there too. I didn’t even meet the owners. So I am not promoting their business for profit. In a perfect world, these businesses would pay taxes which would help the economy. But I don’t think that is happening. However, I was very impressed by the fact that most of the people working there were Liberian. In a country where there are not many jobs, it was nice to see. Again, I just wanted to help other people to avoid paying so much to ship things to Liberia, when they have them there too.

We in the diaspora need to promote our country and the local community. This complete layout of city builders is a copy cat of US based Home Depot.. The prices are so high and the standard/quality is not worth the price.. I'm just trying to shed some lights on the facts. Let's promote local businesses. Others will not promote our businesses. So let's wakeup and help our little country rise again. I was home recently. Pre covid , and I did visit that store. I can say ad a matter of fact, that Liberians workers are under paid in city builders . Ask next time.
