Hey lover fella for the villagers when a farmer inventory is full they will give the food to other villagers but you can exploit it so if you place a hopper and I villager in a special way the hopper will collect the food

True fastest way is planting where a crop is not by the same crop and composter in a 6 block distance with beehives, glowstone , grass then flower on top with water under will make your crop grow at excess speed.

6:29 , actually the best way to make a melon and pumpkin farm is to make a automatic one with observers and pistons and it gives 1000 drops per hour its 9x9 and it's not to complex

For the farmers you need to trap another villager with some hopper Minecarts around it so they think they can throw the potatoes but they get sucked up

U just realized you can make every version of melon farm. (Melon block farm using enderman, melon slice farm using pistons,and melon seed farm that can also work as a melon slice farm that destroys fully grown melon crops which each drop bout 1-4 seeds each

'cause I can barely afford glowstone I have a rooftop farm, but also in house - each plot with 8 torches around (probs could use less, just with XB no way to know light level). Also have chickens I feed above the crop - unsure if they fertilise or not.
