If the goal on the name plate was a flickering movie frame, I'd say you nailed it. Extremely good looking build and the added mod's and fx are top notch. Excellent work!!!

very nice. anyone wanting to make something like that flooring (or whatever) that magnets would stick to could go to their local trophy shop and have them cut up some steel sheet to your exact specifications. it might cost a dollar or two more, but it should be precise and the edges straight (it shouldn't be outrageously priced, most of what you'd want would be cut from leftovers anyway). i used to own a trophy shop, i know these things, lol.

Thanks for all the good comments. I experiment a lot and try to do different things with each model I build. For magnets, try a search for "neodymium magnets". You'll find plenty. Use a Dremel tool to make a cavity just a little bit bigger than the magnet. Use superglue or epoxy to hold them in. Mark the mags with magic marker so you know which sides stick. Let glue cure for 24 hours. Apply glue under the base, place the mags and use the model's mags to hold in place. Practice and Planning!

Thanks for your interest. Those 'cinema lights' are made by the Illusion Projector which is a available on my site listed in the video comments. Also have Terror Torches and colored Phantom Footlights.

Neodymium magnets are super strong so be very careful not to get pinched. Keep them away from children under 12 Years old.

About the Monster's facial features... Universal MIGHT have forced this on purpose. Think about it... They consider those monsters their IP, NOT the likenesses of the actors. Do THEY want Frankenstein to be remembered as Karloff, OR the guy made from dead parts with bolts in his neck? Likewise, comic book companies, for better or worse, stress the characters as selling books and NOT the creators/writers/artists. Of course, it's B.S. but it's also true that things get sold for image/because of an idea and not necessarily because of the person creating those ideas/images. Not fair but that's life. The families of the Universal Trio (Karloff, Lugosi, Chaney) fought for years to get SOMETHING from the licensing rights to the images of their loved ones. In fact, Bela Lugosi's son, Bela Jr., was a lawyer who was instrumental in getting laws passed so that family members of celebrities would be able to collect on royalities. There are many, many cases where family members got screwed and corporations OR estates of celebrities collected money for many years off the likenesses of famous, deceased loved ones! [The Three Stooges' families have a corporation set up to handling licensing of their famous fathers/uncles. IF they didn't guess who would be getting all the Stooges' royalties? The STUDIO!!!! = Columbia Pictures/Sony.] Now that Universal is rebooting the classic monsters, it wants to have its cake and eat it, too. They want to do NEW versions of the characters with new designs/new actors BUT at the same time you can bet they will milk what they can from licensing of models/figures/toys based on the Classic Representations of these characters (Karloff, Lugosi, Chaney). It's not coincidental that they've ramped up high-definition transfers of the classic B & W monster features and are finally releasing more of the monster features on Blu ray after starting that process 4 years ago. ******************************************************* Of course, with likenesses' agreements, you are legally obligated to pay money for using a celebrity's likeness on product... Celebrities ALSO get consent for merchandise that bears their likeness AND have to agree to allow these things to be produced. There was a book written for the 25th Anniversary of Star Trek that did NOT go through at the eleventh hour because the book's author (Gene Roddenberry) DIDN'T get a release form/consent from Leonard Nimoy to allow him to use images of Spock/Nimoy in the book! (Nimoy and Roddenberry did NOT get along. Nimoy considered Roddenberry to be underhanded and an anti-Semite and Roddenberry thought Nimoy was a pain-in-the-ass and owed his showbiz career to him!) One of the things Nimoy negotiated for much earlier in Trek history was for control and use of his image. Related to this is also the way Superman has been depicted over the years in comics. More than once, artists HAVE drawn Superman to vaguely resemble Christopher Reeve since the first Superman film he did (1978). One artist ADMITTED that DC Comics asked him to model his depiction of Superman AFTER Reeve... They skirted the edge so that Reeve's family couldn't sue DC! So there's another example of twisting the intent of law to avoid payment.
