They look fantastic. I have built a Degu enclosure out of 18mm MDF before but despite that was a little hesitant to make a vivarium. Not anymore 😅

Thanks! I use 18mm plywood so that's around 3/4 or 23/32

How do you make them waterproof so the wood doesn’t mold with humidity?

I line the substrate area with floor protection sheeting, check out my other videos all about it. As for the wood in general, I stain and varnish the plywood

I have a question. Hoping you can help me. Can't find an answer on google. I've acquired a custom viv built from mdf. It's around 4yrs old and has previously had a fogger in it so it's done a great job at standing up against humidity. It's currently green, I've no idea what paint has been used on it. I'm wanting to change the colour to black but no idea what to use on it. I was thinking maybe ronseal fence life plus but I don't know. Any help is much appreciated

I'm not sure I have the answer for that one sorry! I don't use MDF and I know it can be a pain to paint. I don't use paint in the shed, just stains and they won't on MDF.

@@norwichreptileshed OK. I was looking forward to building one for the very first time and planned to use plywood but then this one was given to me and it's just the size I wanted. Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply anyway 👍
