This kzbin.infoUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo unit was an easy install and turned out amazing. The dimensions were exact! I took a chance and built the wall prior to receiving the unit which arrived sooner than expected and it fit right in the space I constructed. The heat output is perfect for the space we needed and made the room exactly how we envisioned it to turn out. I am happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thank you for the awesome product just in time for the holidays.

Hey! Great build! I’ve done 3 of these electric fireplaces now-the stones are an either or option. You can take the fake logs out and just put the stones in for a more contemporary look. Keep rocking! 🔥

I was not prepared for how much it added to the room. It really emphasizes the beautiful vaulted ceiling! With all the white on white you just couldn’t appreciate the vault before the beams.

If you use Drydex putty instead of wood filler it is a lot faster. Rub it in with your finger and then rub off the extra. No sanding needed

The stones are to take out the log and use the stones instead, also I've had a 60" in my bedroom for 4+ years and love it. I wish I would have shelled out for the 90". Also the one i have has RF remote so I used logitech harmony to make scenes on my remote for it and use alexa to turn it on/ turn heater on ect..

Like the "let's just get after it" approach and figuring out a solution to the unexpected along the way. I find myself stuck in analysis paralysis on most Reno projects around the house. Always comes out great, but far too long to get there.

Hi there. First of all I have to tell you that you have inspired me so much! I’m a single 52 year old female, I just purchased my own home 2 1/2 years ago. Built in 1903. It’s been well taken care of but there’s still a lot to do as far as remodeling. I’m new to your channel and I’ve watched a ton of your videos. I’m really learning a lot so thank you!!! But I can’t find the link to the lighting tape you put on the backside of your tv in this video. Could you possibly share it with me? I would really appreciate it. 🙂

If you spray anything, always back roll. Prevents runs
@drewthompson95422 жыл бұрын
How come you opted to go with drywall in behind the shiplap, instead of just fastening to the studs? Sweet fireplace, well done.
@kkoff2002 жыл бұрын
My thought as well
@kman42232 жыл бұрын
Walls are always uneven and out of level and so attached framing will be uneven as well. Attaching directly to studs likely to create a wave effect with shiplap.
@moialder2522 жыл бұрын
Is a more permanent and future proof way to instal this is to install it on the bare floor and not the wood floor so if you decided to change flooring you dont have that layer of old floor underneath? I know in the end you dont notice or see it, but it seems more like the clean and installed as if it was brand new. some call it overkill to do this but I get where they are getting at when some contractors suggest this.
@icarryinsnd2 жыл бұрын
so with the fireplace, you are supposed to choose whether you want logs or rocks, not both. the logs come out.

Out of all the things done wrong in this video, I wasn't going to comment until I realized you covered up an outlet below. That my friend, would be against code. Should've made a little access box on the bottom to get to it.

Nice work! Just started following and noticed your doing a lot of the projects that I’ve done or about to knock out, so thanks for all the info! Question, when installing the shiplap on a framed out section like this, is it required to install drywall or can you just do the shiplap and secure them to the studs?
