But how do you afford it? I feel like there’s so much red tape among the financials of these NYC dreams. And I say that as someone that’s lived in NYC for 12 years and barely make do for rent.

I totally understand that. I don't want to share all personal/business financials online, but I will say that I've worked in the city for 3 years now as a freelancer and have built a network of brands/clients that I work with on a consistent basis. This has allowed me to create enough revenue to support my overhead (studio/apartment). Took a while to get there though, all part of the process.
