Do you have any suggestions on how I can make this style of video better? I know audio quality is a bit off here lol

Joshua Boaz i feel like you talk in one tone a lot, you could improve by being more enthusiastic , did like the vid tho

@@merrakiekow4897 Haha thank you and I will for sure need to try to do that next video! Talking to the camera is probably going to take a little time lol

the camera movements. try to pan and zoom instead of moving it around randomly.

@@TheGoldenlegend1 thank you for the tip! Ill have to plan out some camera movements for my next video

I dont have any suggestions. But as a developer myself I would invest in getting the Magic Mouse and Magic TrackPad. Its great for developers.

I literally yesterday built the same exact chair and now I get this in my recommendations lol it’s super comfortable and cheap. Nice video man, I suggest doing voice-overs on top of some B-roll would be a nice way to make these types of videos look more elegant
@Joshua_Boaz4 жыл бұрын
Haha for the price, i really cant complain about the chair, but thanks for the tips, I do appreciate them, I have one recorded in this style but when I make a new one, Ill try the voice-over for sure!

Cool setup man, I've been wanting a monitor like that for while but I settled for a 4k LG that was cheaper. I have the same laptop stand and I used to have a mouse pad like that. You should iron that crease in the middle, a regular iron did the trick for me. I've been wanting to get a mechanical keyboard as well but for now I have an MX Keys doing the work
@Joshua_Boaz3 жыл бұрын
Hey thank you! I'll need to do that iron trick still because that crease has been driving me a little crazy lol, ive heard great things of the mx keys, I was thinking of getting one now that I have a pc as well and switching back and forth for some variety but we'll see haha, have you gotten a mechanical keyboard yet?

You should move the plant out of the way of the speaker for a better audio and you can put the plant in the back idk 😂but yea
@Joshua_Boaz4 жыл бұрын
Yeahh lmao, I’m going to do that, trying to find a better layout or maybe remove the plants because I don’t like it being too cluttered lol

First time on that I've seen this video. Our setups are literally the exact same thing lmao. Same laptop, monitor, mic, and lights. I'm looking to get an HM Aeron soon for the chair and my desk is a tad bit different :) Nice setup

Lmao thats crazy, I guess we both have pretty good taste then ;) but I definitely feel you on the chair, ive been looking at the autonomous ergo chair and maybe will get that soon but you'll have to let me know how you like the Aeron if you get it!

Hey Joshua, I’ve been watching a few of your videos and really enjoyed them. I wanted to ask you about the LG monitor, does it clearly display the letters and fonts on VSCode or some other editor? I know it can’t compete with the MBP screen but was wondering if it stretches them or something...
@Joshua_Boaz4 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks I really appreciate it! But from my few weeks of using it, I am really satisfied with how text looks on the monitor. It does display clearly (small or large) for fonts and really does not stretch at all either which was surprising. The macbook screen does look more crisp, but no complaints on this one. I can make a close up tiktok video of text tonight as well if you wanted!

For a typist, and programming, which is the best switch
@Joshua_Boaz4 жыл бұрын
Honestly I still think it comes down to personal preference, I loved typing on my macbook keyboard and now i have gateron brown switches, some like real clicky and some like linear or tactile, id recommend getting a little switch tester (only a few dollars) or going to best buy or micro center and see what you like. You may able to type faster and more accurate on something im really bad on haha

nice chair might pick one up. it looks like a 9 to 5 chair. cost $1000
@Joshua_Boaz4 жыл бұрын
Oh for sure, it dropped in price to $80, looks like the gray one is sold out but the all black one is still there, great budget option, not as nice as a more expensive one, but for the price i really couldnt complain about anything haha

Cool video and nice setup man! Hows the mouse mat? Is good quality? Looking to do a similar setup with my 16" macbook pro
@Joshua_Boaz4 жыл бұрын
Hey thank you! And the mouse mat has been great for how inexpensive it is, no tracking issues at all with my mouse and it feels good too, only thing is that if your desk is slippery (mine is) the mat could move a bit while using, I’m thinking of getting some rubber tape or something to put on the corners to make it less slippery
@marcus46534 жыл бұрын
@@Joshua_Boaz Smart about getting a rubber mat! How's the monitor working out for you? Looking at picking up an ultrawide for my macbook pro, but rather not spend an arm and a leg on one haha
@Joshua_Boaz4 жыл бұрын
Marcus for sure haha, but so far I’ve been loving it, especially for coding and editing, it’s been real nice for multitasking, since I’ve got a smaller space for my setup, it’s been kinda an equivalent of having 2 24” ones built into one piece, but I totally understand about the price, if you didn’t really care about having a usbc monitor and okay with using DP or HDMI, lg has one like this for around $300-$400, I think the only reason this was around $500 was because of the utility of only using a single cable
