In this video I discuss everything I dislike about my 2020 Yamaha R1M. I absolutely love this bike, but it is not perfect so the goal is to build it into something that I love and really want to ride more often. First we install Brembo GP4 RX calipers, Brembo RCS 17 master cylinder, steel braided brake lines, ABS delete, Carbon underbelly, VF Designs Tail LIghts, TST Rear License Plate Bracket, Domino Grips, Bonamici rear sets, Bonamici Clip Ons, Carbon Fiber Lever Guard, Aluminum Sporckets, and an EK 3D Chain.

That's looking good bro. Have you heard of pro bolt? I upgraded all my hardware on my bike to titanium purple haze. But they also have gold titanium hardware. You could dress up some things here and there, something to think about

Bar Keepers Friend liquid soft cleanser and a rag might take the burn mark off without damaging the finish.

I didn't know Bar Keepers Friend came in a liquid version. There's a few products that could be used to try and remove it, wouldn't hurt consulting a detailer either.

he is right the sitting is so hard on them the seals dry out and then the shaft burns a flat spot in the seal when it starts moving glad to see you doin good bro I would never do any red or gold but as long as you like it thats all that matters since you paid for it I am just not a gold guy other than jewelry and red is a big ass nope I am sure you can figure why no red ever but I love that R1M I have one myself and only complaint with it and my r6 is the riding position

What he says is true, when you dont ride the bike as often, there's a higher chance some parts will wear out faster. Especially rubber parts because lack of vibration.

I think 650ib had to make a lot of changes to his R1M a few yrs back. Due to his size, the bike was a little uncomfortable. Respect to your R1 also. The changes you are making are very nice!

On our old school gixxers they had deep oil pans and to resolve the oil starvation issue when doing wheelies we put on shallower oil pans. Go with Vortex Steel Sprocket. U should check out Danmoto Carbon GP exhaust slip on, look great and sound great and prevent that swingarm burn and stain. Culver’s is not to shabby…lol

Great tip on brake fluid. I live in southeast Alaska on an island. Car brake rust out ALL THE TIME!!! I’m a firm believer in annual brake fluid change in everything

Hold on-someone saying the R1 is bad compared to other 1000cc bikes? That's wild, but I get it. If this person has ridden an H2, a Ducati V4R, and the M1000RR, it's understandable. Those bikes are on another level. But let's be real: the R1 is $10k cheaper and still delivers incredible performance, holding its own against those European liter bikes. For that price, I'd choose the R1 any day of the week

Tasteful mods, looks good! Short pipe is cool but the full length imo looks better and then it wont burn the swing-arm and you can run the carbon covers.

Just got that 2024 R1M. She could use that under belly. I’m running the GP Akro on there. She still needs some more upgrade done. However, slowly but surely. MSRP is crazy. But yes the brakes are the best especially at hi speed.

Mechanics right brake fluid $ coolant annually , you can push coolant to every 2 years. My oil I do 1500-2000 mile oil changes. On my 3rd change filter gets changed. I clean and grease my chain every 400-500 miles and can get 10-15k out of one but it’s stock 525. Racing sure 520 is better but bigger is stronger. I lube cables every filter change. Fork oil is every 8,000 miles for me at least. I use Rotella T6 15W40 but I’m sure mechanic has access to motul etc. But for 22 dollars a gallon and most track day guys run it. 1500 miles and 22 dollars isn’t anything to cry about. I do run Amsoil Metric 10W40 but just my opinion. My shifts get clunky around the 800-1000 mile range. While Rotella lasts till about 1200. (Remember this oil also helps your trans gear set and also lubes pistons and cylinders with slight fuel dilution. And if you’re running anything more than Ethanol Free 89-91 here in Florida. You better watch out. Wawa sells 89 ethanol free if you feel some way Micro dose with Redline SL1 1 ounce to 2 gallons. And you’ll be good and your valve seats will thank you.

If you're looking for the perfect plate for her, look at flipNdip plates. That way you can still hide them for your rolling shots etc. and it looks so much neater 💯

The blown motors might have been because it's flashed and the connecting rods and pistons have not been upgraded around 9k rpm the yamahas blow constantly because the OEM rods etc are not made for the full power they limit power there from factory Please put Pankl parts in there if you are flashing or racing your bike
