@snapchat7293
@snapchat7293 7 жыл бұрын
The liquid is non conductive, you just turn off the PC if it leaks and wipe up the liquid... It is extremely rare that a All In One liquid coolers leak (adams is a corsair H100 all in one), the custom cooler kits that you see at competitions can leak... but as I said the liquid is not conductive If that story about it killing that guys computer is true he must have an expensive motherboard ... if it was a conductive liquid and it did kill his computer it would only fry the motherboard and maybe the power supply. The best motherboards ever made are about $500. There's nothing to worry about when it comes to those all in one liquid coolers.... apart from its life span....it doesn't last as long as a fan cooler.

Decent 1st attempt but a few things you need to fix... 1. The cpu back plate is installed the wrong way, it needs to be rotated 90 degrees 2. The cpu cooler fans are blowing air out out the case, which is fine but i would put the fans on the other side of the radiator so that they pull rather than push air out. (have a look at push vs pull on radiators) Also you can spin the radiator round so the hoses come from the right hand side, they look a little tight. 3. I dont know what the red wires are in your graphics cards but you dont need them, use the wires labeled pcie straight into your graphics cards from your psu, you should have plenty. They are usually 6+2 which means you can join them for an 8 pin plug or just use the 6 for the other plug. 4. As long as you have a license you can download windows to a usb stick, they have a USB creation tool on there website www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10 GL cant wait to see it up and running!

Is there any front panel ports -- if so gotta make sure you plug those in. Are all your fans plugged into the Mobo as well? Your mobo should have good documentation on all the ports. If you can't figure out the media creation tool just get/borrow a USB Disk drive. Pretty good for your first PC -- they have made things really easy in the past 10 years. My first PC (with IDE /ATA cables) I forgot to change the harddrive jumpers and it took me way too long to get it to recognize the master harddrive.

I lot of people in the comments are hating on you, when you did mention multiple times that you didn't know everything that you were doing. It's a learning experience. Everyone starts somewhere, and you were brave enough to film your 1st ever build. You came out knowing more by doing it yourself, than what you went into the build with. A few things could have been done different, but the only way to fully learn is to try. I'm planning on building my own PC and I was wanting to record it. The Good, the Bad, everything... But I was interested in seeing some other people and their own 1st attempts at a build. It's gonna be a while before I can get all the parts for my PC. And some I think I might wait until Black Friday Sales, since it's only 3 months away, and see if anything goes on Sale for me to get a few of the more expensive components. Best part of building a PC from scratch! You don't have to worry about buying the whole thing all at once, and can wait on parts to go on Sales if you want to! Congrats on your PC Build. Hope everything turned out well for you!

@@bart-ye2iq water-cooling is better if your going with a really high performance rig, meant to do high quality gaming and very intensive tasks where your components will get very hot. Water-cooling is better at cooling components than air cooling. But it is very hard to install and is totally not recommended for beginners as you have to install it manually and combine the loops and bend them etc. So if you are building your first ever PC with no knowledge about what to do, save yourself the hassle and use air cooling.

Step 1: Install the CPU in to the mother board (CPU slot, make sure the gold triangle is pointed to the black triangle on the board). Step 2: Install the RAMs on to the mother board (the only install in one direction). Step 3: install the back plate for the CPU cooler, add thermal past to the CPU and install the CPU cooler or if you have an AIO water cooler install the radiator side with fans to the front or top of the case ( don't add thermal paste yet for AIO). Step 4: Install the IO plate and the mother board into the case and screw it in (Make sure the IO plate sits firmly in the hole in the back and press the mother board firmly against it and gently let the mother board set into place on the standoffs). Step 5: Connect your USB 3.0 cable, USB 2.0 cable, front power LED, power switch, and reset switch onto the mother board. Step 6: Grab as many SATA data cables as your hard drive/SSDs and plug them up to your mother board. Step 7: Grab your power supply (PSU) and all the cables needed for the computer(16 pin for the mother board 8pin for the CPU, two 6 and 8 pin for your graphics cards(GPU), and SATA power plugs for your hard drives/SSDs). Step 8: Route your cable through the holes closes to your 16 pin connector, 8 pin connector for your CPU and hard drives/SSD and plug them in (Mount the PSU to the designated spot face down towards the vent). Step 9: Install your GPU's and hook up the 8 and 6 pin power cables to the GPUs. Step 10: (Only do this if you have an AIO water cooler and already mounted the radiator and fans to the case) Place the CPU block for the AIO to the CPU (if there is no pre-applied thermal paste, add a rice size amount of thermal paste) and tighten it down with the included screws. Step 11: Plug your computer into a socket and power on your computer to install Windows. But before all that don't plug your god dam PSU into the outlet, that's how you fry the computer parts.

I'd change the order slightly, would be going 1, 3, 10, 7 (and pre run CPU and MOBO power cables), 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11. There's no harm in plugging in your PSU into the outlet, even if he tries to power it on it'll do nothing.

Super good job for a first build. Forgetting the IO back plate (the bit that you had to take the motherboard out again for) happens to everyone - I do it about 50% of the time! One thing that might make a difference is redoing the fans on the radiator, generally you want them pushing air through the radiator (rather than pulling like yours are) so you would go (from top to bottom): case -> fans -> radiator. Realistically, if you're not going to overclock, it's going to make hardly any difference but I'm sure some nerds out there will give you crap for it!

its easy to tell which way the fans blow, they are all the same, the pretty side of the fan always pushes through to the side where the motor mounts are. Also pull is better than push for fans, it reduces dust build up on the radiator.

@reschedulerude7330
@reschedulerude7330 7 жыл бұрын
that was honestly fine for your first attempt, some of these people lol... you might want to flip your radiator around though, so that the long hose comes from the right side down to the cpu instead of the left. Stretches it out more so you don't have that awkward bundle over your gpu's (your 1080's); giving you more space and generally looks nicer. And a SLI bridge is required to run your GPU's together so you definitely need one. also that plastic bag that had your motherboard in it was an antistatic bag lol, people generally keep the motherboard on it until mounting time.
@josiahfiander6254
@josiahfiander6254 7 жыл бұрын
Godhand Zefa good advice :) just thought I'd note some antistatic bags have conductive coatings on them which could lead to ESD to the motherboard.

Kinda late, but I thought I would add my thoughts. I really like this video because it proves that anyone can build a their very own rig! That being said I have a few tips / comments about some stuff that I saw. 1: All I've ever used is one or two screw drivers to assemble a PC, if you already have a decent set, no need to buy a kit. I've also never used a static wrist band. Not that you shouldn't be careful, but I've never had any issues. 2: There's not necessarily an up or down on a PSU. Generally speaking, if your PC will sit on carpet, mount the fan up, towards the inside of your PC. if it's on a hard surface, mount it down. 3: This one is kinda important, always use thermal paste on you cpu cooling device, even if you’re water cooling. The point of thermal pasted is to fill in small gaps and make the connection between your block and cpu. If you don’t use thermal paste you risk at least running higher than healthy temps and at worst frying your cpu. 4: It's always easier to download the free version of windows onto a USB and boot from the USB. After it boots into the free version of windows, you can upgrade to a full version. No disk required. www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download 4: I don't know if he did this or not, but if you have an SSD, make sure you boot your OS to it. 5: Do some research, you'll love your new machine allot more if you understand it! 6: Kind of cheesy, but have fun and appreciate that you can do something that allot of people don't know the first thing about.

Everyone has to start somewhere. I'm 29 and still haven't built a pc I'm the dumbass who spends to much on pre-built pic's. I need a new one but I think my next one will be my first build. Can't afford to buy a pre-built anymore I'm not going to spend 4gs on a Dell with a better logo

Steven Kost if u actually have a life having a ps4 or X1 is much better and easier. For a nerd who has no life and lives inside then Ya a computer is superior. Just remember every time u say pc master race all the people saying Xbox or Sony all have lives and likely gfs and know what a pussy feels like.

I am a PC gamer but it is the people like you that make the PC gaming community look bad. People can use what they want to use and that is their choice not yours even though PC's are "Better" than consoles. I also own an xbox one and i just sold my ps4 so i know what i'm talking about kid, please stop spreading hate and just get along because most console gamers that are really into gaming move to PC anyway.

Brandon Bassani a computer is superior in everything by the way even in price as you can build one with way better performance for about the same price and about every game is cheaper on pc

Presented You don't have to go insane on a build to build a PC. I built a PC using a core 2 duo and a GTX 650 I found in a trash can last year and used it until 3 weeks ago when I upgraded. It can be done, you just gotta use EBay for a few things and not overly rely on buying things brand new.

once you get that first desktop build moving up becomes much cheaper...i could go from ym amd setup right now to an i7 6700k for $325 because i have the other components already..laptops are a sideways fucking due to the fact none of it can really be salvaged to start the next build..amongst other facts

Carlllooosss so basically when you buy two or more gpus (graphics cards) you need to use an sli bridge. Its a thing that connects multiple gpus. If you dont connect them with sli they wont be connected together and be useless.
